I signed on with iweb and received my log in details. I attempted to log in but failed. I contacted their customer services on the phone, but they were useless. I emailed their customer services but didn't get a reply. This 'service' has cost me 25 pounds, an on line mugging. (read more)

I am a complete novice having never invested in shares before. I choose Iweb because it is by far the cheapest to carry out trades at just £5 per trade. The up front £25 was something I was happy to pay to not have to worry about ongoing fees/inactivity fees in the future as this eats into your investment returns. Once you're signed up (self-selecting stocks & shares ISA for me) I was able to deposit via debit card & start trading immediately. The interface is very simple to use & self... (read more)

After reading some negative reviews on here I was not sure if I was going to regret moving my trading to iweb. Now after 3 months I can honestly say I'm glad I did. I have saved money on trading fees and they have executed my limit and stop bids without fault. I haven't used all the facilities they offer such as CFDs. (read more)

Moved to iWeb due to two reasons. 1. Cheap £5 to buy or sell 2. ability buy shares for NYSE. what i like the website is very basic, was easy to use. easy to put money in, buy shares. no annual charges. regular investment is every few days and they only charge £2 unlike other share companies who have it once a month. what i dont like the reason however i gave it 4 stars out of 5 stars as i had forgotten my password and had to phone them up, first time i rang it just rang a bit and... I have £200k on this platform but they have no interest in me. I was transferring money out until they reduced the trade fee, BUT soon after they radically reduced the service. They now log you off after 7 minutes, Although they claim it is 20! Avoid (read more)

Used for two buys - simple, but slow, missed out on the best price but for small amounts, so carried on.
On holiday in thailand, and my account has been frozen for 3 days 'while they investigate'. If they don't get through to me by phone they will write, meanwhile one of my stocks is in freefall.
I thought this was iweb, hence an email would have realy helped in this situation, I've been in thailand for 6 weeks so nothing new from an access point of view. Not recommended for anything...

I have been trading with IMI since it was independent. It still offers the best service for the money. There are no holding fees, extra charges or hidden payments. It's simple and easy to use the service and they continue to update and make small changes as they see fit. I've encountered the occasional admin error but they have always sorted it out, even when my fault.
It may not be the prettiest of screens to look at, but the functionality and reliability is there and I know if I have any...

Iweb is worth using for a casual trade or for someone who is simply looking to transfer their holding certificates into a suitable electronic format to monitor. Very simple and straightforward to use. What makes in slightly inappropriate for high density usage are occasional trading delays and the waiting period for sales to become transferable cash (although sales can be invested in shares immediately). Highly recommended for low level use though and flat rate fee is ideal. (read more)

This company wasn't able to offer me a proper service. Today after being up 10% on one trade and ready to sell it still hasn't been executed even after 3 attempts - this included spending 20 minutes on the phone. Not good enough. (read more)

IWEB Share dealing appear to me to have little regard to acting on demand. During the recent market turbulance, extremely poor execution services, system crashes and overly reliant on negotiated trade. It has taken me 45 minutes to get through to their on line live service and on the two occassions I have got through this week they have quoted high volumes as the cause of not being able to execute my request and have referred in to their customer service line number which has taken in excess... Iweb Share Dealing really makes it easy to play the stock market. I wish they sent an automatic invitation to companies' AGMs though... It used to be the case with Charles Schwab for no extra charge, but then they got swallowed by Barclays... (read more)

So called 'problems' with their internet service stopped me from accessing my account for the first 6 weeks of setting up my account. Every time I rang them, they gave me contradicting information.
When I made my second telephone deal after a month of being set up with a trading account, they said that I am not set up as an account, and therefore cannot trade as yet. What happened to the first deal? I am still waiting to find out.

Gambling is illegal in Thailand, if they consider share dealing gambling then maybe that was why you could not access your account?
