My family of 5 members booked the trip from 15th may 2023 to 21st May 2023 to Andaman and Nicobar and paid Rs.1, 99, 816/-(Rupees One Lakh Ninety Nine Thousand Eight hundred Sixteen Only) which included flight charges. On 9th May , Makemytrip people called and told me that the flight booked is got cancelled and informed us to book the flight from our side. But we couldn’t find flight for the date it was booked, the rates were so high so we requested to makemytrip to arrange flight as promised or cancel the package. When I spoke to the flight incharge i.e GOAIR, quoting our PNR number and GOAIR informed me that the refund from their side is already issued to Makemytrip on 10th May itself. But till today We have not received any refund either air or land arrangements made by Makemytrip. Please be careful while making bookings with MakemyTrip. When I contacted Makemytrip several times but didn’t get any response. After waiting for the period of holiday package, I asked for the refund. Till we have not received the refund or any other assistance. It is an unfair practice from Makemytrip. Suffered mental and monetary harassment. Hereby I am claiming a refund of Rs.1,99,816/- (Rupees One Lakh Ninety Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Sixteen Only) at the earliest along with a compensation amount of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand Only) as interest amount as our money is lying with you since April 20th 2023. Don't book anything with MakeMytrip and lose your hard earned money and peace of mind.

Hello- Just like others V too planned our Sikkim & Darjeeling tour through Delight Tourism, but unfortunately our experience was pathetic . We Planned our tour through Delight Tourism @ Siliguri office, paid 15K in advance to get the best experience as this was our first visit to Sikkim and Darjeeling, Started from 29th May for 12 Nights.- IN Short a) Their was NO coordination between Delight Tourism and location POC/tour incharge, we literally struggled to get the clean Room and even Hotels at places like Ganthok, Pelling, Lachen, Luchen and Darjeeling . b) Will share few photos of the rooms and location where Delight tourism booked the Hotels. c)Hotel Staffs :- 1) POC/tour manager was not at all focused on Customer requirements, No customer centric approach, Just need Money and that too very rudely before even u start ur local tour/plan or their answer will be we are cancelling ur todays tour plan (means every place money in advance only)..2) Staff boys were Ok as we paid them tips in advance so they were atleast responding to ur requirements within their limit. d) Sight seen and Local trip :- No coordination from anyone mentioned above, they basically do Pickup & Drop to points like taxi stand or Hotel, rest individual need to struggle or plan things his/her own - If you ask me then by the time I reached Peling I become a good travel agent with nearly 30 to 40 contacts ready in my hand for any reference or future planning or for local help at each places. e)Only + point for me from delight was responding to my calls in odd hours too as I was with my family to a new place where I don't have any local contact (but yes, local peoples at each places where very supportive to help Tourist ), this man was Flexible too to understand my situation and atlast supported me to look Hotels by self and this helped me to reach my tour end else the option for us was to Cut the trip and return. f) Point of contact @ Darjeeling (from hotel Blue bird and Girja) @ Mall road are the person who are spoiling this business, even don't know how to speak with Customer especially to Ladies, Similarly Hotel Polok (Ghantok in this hotel they gave us first most dirty store room kind of room where anyone can easily fall sick later on when we complain them they gave us nice room although in this room they gave us broken bed ,where we spend maximum time sitting on sofa as their staff people came and try to repair but no use ,our whole relax time spoil in watching carpenter exercise ) and to my wonder this person was having at least clean room but still at first visit itself he provided us storeroom that to when we were much advanced booked customer for him and not 11th hour surprise visitor , Peling POC & Hotels from Hotel Panchak, Hotel Prema Sonam, Hotel Hariku (where water problem is Very big) My experience says 1) Coordination was lacking at each places and none of them take responsibility as a Local POC or tour planner 2) No customer centric approach 3) Rooms are like store or even more worst in some cases where sheets and winter clothes are even NOT washed or Changed 4) Their thought process (tour planner/mgr) is - dump the customer anywhere and when they knew customer has to wake up (like 3.30 am, 4 am, 4.30 am) for sunrise visit 5)POCs and Hotel booking are not shared initially with Proper room no's and Contact details 6) Specially Pure Veg people must be well prepared before planning tour ,as its nearly impossible to get pure veg kitchen in any hotel and top of it their response is very harsh in your emergencies of food or beverage They will tell you their order collecting timing etc rule only when you are in need and not when you doing check in ,also items are very costly too comparing to their normal outside rate Key Points a) Plan your trip as per your requirements and check for each details in advance before paying ANY money to tours and travels b)Pay is SHORT installments only for long tour or trips c) Take all contact details and coordinates from each places and locations in advance before u start ur trip, including the Driver details and Vehicle numbers. d) Engage local Tourism Authority for help and support to avoid last minute surprises e) Vegetarians are advised to get prepared by Self, so, to avoid last minute surprises on these Hilly places

I am writing this to share my horrible experience with Makemytrip. This was the first time I was using their services. Back in September, after going through the holiday packages offered on their website, I was interested in booking one for Paris and Switzerland (ex Delhi dtd 26 Jan 2019). I got in touch with their sales expert to discuss the details. My major concerns were if payment could be done by international card and the visa process. I was advised in positive regarding payment and assured expert visa assistance. As I reside outside India, I decided to apply for my own visa and required their assistance only for my partner residing in Delhi. After finalizing the deal, I visited the online payment link and international card option was not working. I got in touch with the sales expert and was advised that the system is down. I was told to arrange payment through Indian Bank account and as early as possible as the slots were getting filled. Painstakingly I arranged the money from my Indian account and made the payment. Soon I was contacted by their visa expert who advised to arrange the necessary documents for my partner by November to apply to the French embassy. He provided us a checklist of required documents which were more than the ones mentioned in the French consulate website. However considering he is an expert, we took his advice and arranged all of them. He double checked all the documents and my partner submitted it to the consulate. In a couple of days we got a rejection letter. Meantime the visa I applied for myself was approved. Perplexed I asked him the reason (Consulate rejection letter was vague) and the future course of action. He advised to reapply with the same documents and a better cover letter. I was shocked to hear his response and was skeptical that it will work. I did my own research and the only solution I could find was to sponsor my partner and that would increase the probability of acceptance. I was amused at how I have to advise the expert on the future course of action. Then he provided me with a list of documents required for sponsorship. He sent me a draft sponsorship letter and asked me to just fill in the name and other personal details. The draft was filled with grammatical errors and contained inadequate information. I did a bit of research and wrote the letter myself. Sadly it got rejected again. The expert advised to reapply without giving any directions of corrective action. Feeling completely dejected and not wanting to waste more money on application fees, I decided to change the booking to another destination which has visa on arrival. But the sales expert refused stating that they have already paid vendors for my booking and told only option available for me is to cancel the booking (incurring 20% of the package cost). I was really disappointed with the overall treatment. They assured me of false promises, provided me with ill advice regarding visa and were totally dismissive regarding any other solution. I have used various travel agencies in the past but never faced such unprofessionalism, incompetence and indifference.

!!!NEVER BOOK YOUR TRIP WITH MAKEMYTRIP!!! In November, my parents and I travelled through India for three weeks. We have had a great holiday except for one part, the part where we travelled from Hampi to Goa with MakeMyTrip. I have never met such an unprofessional organisation. Firstly, our driver was supposed to send us a text in advance which he never did. He was supposed to pick us up at 6am however, he wasn’t there. Since he did not send us a text, we didn’t know how to reach him so, we called MakeMyTrip. There we were told that the driver would be there within five minutes. After fifteen minutes, we decided to call again and we realised we were very lucky to have an Indian sim card because it would have been really expensive otherwise. This time, the person from MakeMyTrip gave us the number of the driver which we called. The driver told us he would be there in five minutes. At 06:45 the driver was finally there and instead of apologising for being late, he just stayed in the car and he let us put our luggage in the trunk. Even after we stepped into the car, he didn’t apologise, he did not even introduce himself after we told him our names and after spitting on the ground, something he kept doing the entire journey, he just started driving. You would think this isn’t a big problem, but let me tell you, this was the least problematic part of the journey, we encountered. After a couple of hours of driving in silent, the driver decided he wanted to drink some tea. This tea break took us about half an hour after which we went on with our journey. Our driver, we still don’t know his name so, I’ll keep calling him our driver, then told us we were supposed to pay a road tax of 2700 rupee. We thought this was a bit strange so, we Googled this and we didn’t speak about the road tax anymore until we reached Goa where our driver told us to pay the tax again. We told him we wanted to join him to the office but, he would not allow us to go with him. He wanted us to pay the tax and he would take care of it. Since we didn’t trust him we decided to call MakeMyTrip for the third time. Here we were told we were supposed to pay all taxes and charges left payable. Our driver then made a big mistake by calling a friend of him whom pretended to be working for MakeMyTrip who told us to pay the tax. He then showed us he already paid the tax for the car (till December 31st) and he told us we could make a deal where he would pay 50% and we would pay the remaining 50%. We called MakeMyTrip again and I gave my phone to the driver so the person from MakeMyTrip could explain him we wanted to pay the tax ourselves instead of giving money to the driver since we didn’t trust it, especially since he kept telling us different prices we had to pay. The driver finally agreed to walk us to the office but, he first wanted to have something to drink. He called his friend again and this friend told us to pay the tax of 2700 Rupee. Since I had his phone now, I called MakeMyTrip again to tell them their driver was trying it on and I decided to walk to the tax office. Because the driver was afraid I wouldn’t give back his phone, he followed. At this point, he decided he wasn’t able to speak English anymore and he kept saying he did not speak English even though, he argued with us before, when he was telling us we had to pay 2700 Rupee. At the tax office we were told we only had to pay 300 Rupee/seat in the car since the tax for the car was already paid. Because the car could seat seven persons, we had to pay 2100 Rupee, instead of 2700 rupee as the driver kept telling us. When we told the tax officer the driver had tried it on with us, the driver suddenly was able to speak English again and he kept saying this wasn’t true even though all of us knew he was lying. At this point, we all became really angry and we told the driver to drive on. Besides, I kept the receipt we got at the tax office and told the driver he could get it back once we arrived in Goa. The driver then decided to have one more cup of tea after which we finally were able to continue our journey. Altogether this took us almost two (!!!) hours. When we continued our journey to Goa, our driver asked us what time our flight would take off. Apparently, he thought we needed to catch a flight and he was trying to delay our journey so, in order to reach the airport in time, we had no choice then to pay him. Luckily for us, we did not need to catch a flight and after this point, the driver suddenly started speeding. I must say we are lucky we didn’t die in an accident because he drove like he was trying to commit suicide, overtaking cars while driving up slopes etc. When we finally reached our destination, he told us we had to pay the remaining tax money which we obviously refused because we knew he would get back the 2100 tax money we paid since it is a rule you’ll get back the tax money if you return within three hours. Something MakeMyTrip should know and they should thus not ask their customers to pay since this means the driver will get back this money after driving back to Karnataka in this case. Anyways, we took our stuff out of the trunk and left without saying goodbye. However, when moving our stuff to our hotel room, we realised we left our camera in the trunk of the car. We tried calling the driver but, he didn’t pick up his phone and suddenly, we weren’t able to reach MakeMyTrip anymore either. The owner of the hotel tried calling as well but he wasn’t able to speak to the driver or to anyone of MakeMyTrip too. We emailed MakeMyTrip as soon as we had an internet connection again (which was the next morning) telling them we left our camera in the car and only two (!!) days later, we were able to reach MakeMyTrip by phone even though they promise you to respond to your email within 24 hours. We have spoken with different people from MakeMyTrip and each single one of them told us their driver didn’t do anything wrong even though we repeatedly told them about how their driver tried to deprive us. Even worse, they told us the driver couldn’t find our camera even though we are 100% sure we left it in the trunk (the left side of the trunk to be precisely). They told us they would search for our camera again and they would come back to us soon. This took a couple of days after which we got the following email: Dear Customer Greetings from MakeMyTrip! We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. And as per your concern we want to inform you that as per our service provider they investigated into it and also had a word with the vendor as well as the driver whether they denied about the camera. Also, we believe in transparent billing and no hidden cost. Therefore, for Return and Multi way trips the toll tax, state tax and parking charges are left payable by the customer on actual basis. Similarly, the state taxes were charged as and when applicable. For further queries, please call us. Thanks & Regards MakeMyTrip Team As you can read, they didn’t give us a clear answer at all and we still don’t know what happened to our camera. Besides, they keep saying that customers have to pay for the tax and charged left payable however, this wasn’t our case since our driver told us to pay 2700 Rupee whereas we had to pay 2100 Rupee and we know he got back the money we paid when entering Karnataka again. After this email, we haven’t heard anything of MakeMyTrip anymore. This is absolutely the WORST experience we have ever had. We are quite certain we won’t get back our camera or our money, but we hope we can warn other people to NEVER book with MakeMyTrip so, other people won’t encounter the same problem.

I would like to describe my experience with MMT (which is in fact a huge brand name) , provides worst customer service, treats customer badly once the payment is made. Lots of faults and bugs in their app and functionality which they dont care to accept as their mistake. So, I made a booking for a hotel (non refundable), due to some emergency situation I could not reach on that date, So instead of cancelling there was an option provide to modify the booking dates. I proceeded with the modifying, No notification, No prompts were shown to me , directly booking was cancelled. Its been more than a month now that am following up with CC of make my trip, No response, No call backs, No care for the issue raised. Today wen i demanded to talk with the manager or some senior supervisor, I got a reply back that Its my fault that I tried modifying the booking. So no refund or anything will be provided. I lost like 10K behind this stupid MMT.

Poor , pathetic bus service by Paulo Travels .Had booked tkts to Margao Goa from Mumbai , travelled on 24th Aug 2017.All passengers were just dropped in Panjim saying the bus would not go further.The office in Panjim refused to help the passengers. There were foreign tourists as well who were stranded in Panjim with all bags n baggage in the rains. I was travelling with my kids and father 70 yr old...caused us a lot of inconvenience. Shall never travel by Paulo Travels n never recommend it to any one. After speaking to the owner of Paulo Travells I was told that after booking the tkt I should chk on REDBUS app .Why shoul some one do that when the tkt was booked from an authorised Paulo Travels agent. My friend had a terrible experience when he tried to book ticket using his reward cash. He was told that only 5% of cash can be used for the booking and the reward will expire in a month. Total reward cash Rs 1800/- When contacted Customer service, the guy was telling him that "we are giving you something". We are not begging with this useless MakeMyTrip . So please stay away from this website when you want to book tickets and thinking of earning some cash back.

This is my experience before my trip and believe me all my excitement of my first trip is just boomed thanks to MMT please beware OF THEIR STAFF DO NOT BELIVE ANYTHING THAT THEY SAY ALL HOLDS GOOD TILL YOUR ADVANCE THEY are experts in gaining your trust first and breaking it later - beware of packages book on your own and don't let the agencies like MMT to make money at your cost and screw you back.

I had purchased a flight ticket from MakeMyTrip in the month of January. On the date of the flight, the airline cancelled and issued me with the appropriate documentation which clearly stated that I was eligible for a 100% refund since THE AIRLINE cancelled. However, when communicated with MakeMyTrip, they refunded a meagre amount of Rs. 319 and TILL DATE HAVE NOT PROCESSED THE REMAINING AMOUNT. It has been 5 months now. Their customer care "executives" are a bunch of oafs. I don't know how their recruitment team have a knack of hiring such dimwits that basically simply do not even try to understand what their customer is trying to convey. Just as how IITs have the reputation of hiring the best in the country, I think MakeMyTrip should have the reputation of hiring the absolute worst in the country. I would strongly recommend everyone to abandon this travel agency all together so that these cheats don't get their salary and the company shuts down all together.

Based on our previous response, we would like to highlight the terms & conditions of Deal code MMT2016 which you have used at the time of booking where we have mentioned that if Cardholder cancels the travel service purchase after the cashback amount is credited, MakeMyTrip will refund the purchase price after deducting the cashback amount and overall offer benefit value and any other applicable cancellation charges/penalty as same was displayed on our website during this promotion.
Now as a special case where airlines has cancelled you booking due to schedule change, hence we have refunded the balance amount as per below mentioned bifurcation:
Total booking amount – INR 2594/-
PNR cost – INR 2344/-
Non Refundable convenience fee – INR 250/- (Deducted from MMT side).
Cash back processed – INR 2016/- out of which INR 169/- has been used on NF2202368377552 & INR 146/- has been used on NF2201961229899.
Hence after deducting INR 169/- + INR 146/- + INR 250/- we have refunded you an overall amount i.e. INR 2029/-

Feeling really disappointed and upset on how MakemyTrip deals with their customers in case of mishappening / road accidents while on trip. Yes, I am talking about accident that occurred in Mysore on 27th Dec 2015, where my son, daughter-in-law and my grand-daughter came into death trap. This is regarding Booking Id: IN1508B4S659221 in the name of Puneet Garg done for Bangalore-Mysore-Ooty from 25th Dec to 30th Dec where city transfers were made through taxi. However on 27th Dec 2015, due to negligence of driver, their car met with a serious accident in spite of warnings that were given to driver by my son and daughter-in-law. My son had been fighting for life for 5 days far away from family and is on bed since then. But as a service provider, MakemyTrip don’t even have sympathy to ask or give help to your customers if they fall into these type of situations. I know that my daughter-in-law got few calls on first couple of days but at that time she was not in position to talk, but later on when she approached MakemyTrip for help and arranging air tickets back home etc, MakemyTrip officials people stopped answering her calls. My daughter-in-law used to get calls from MakemyTrip head office if any help is required, but when she asked for help, she stopped talking. So the calls were just made for the sake of name. Is this the right way to deal with the customers? I would like to ask the leadership team and management team of Make my trip that you take the money well in advance from customer, you have your organizational friendly policies where only organization is at Win situation, so WHY MakemyTrip DON’T HAVE ANYTHING WHEN SUCH ACCIDENTS OCCUR. Where customer should go and ask for help. Due to rash driving of that un-experienced driver, my son has got hip bone fracture and multiple facial bone fractures and he is going to be on bed for another 6 months. MakemyTrip has spoiled his life and our lives as well. It just means that whether a customer live or die, MakemyTrip need money which is always paid upfront. Right? Shame on MakeMyTrip!!

We booked 5 days package for Kerala through Make My Trip. The hotel given to us in Munnar was not a 3 star property when it was promised. We arrive to Thekkady on 3rd day after a long and hectic journey of 5 hours and go for some lake boating in periyar where we understand that the ticket counter is already closed. With a family of 6 people and 1 infant we have to travel 5 hours daily in a cab so half of our time goes in cab. . What else should we do then. The national park in munnar was closed, the periyar lake visit wasnt done due to travel time. The entire money was a waste for us. I would never recommend this MMT to anyone. The worst part is we try to contact them the phone lines are always busy. Even if they receive ur call they drop it after listening to your complaint

Booked a hotel in Pondicherry for Rs.3600 from makemytrip. But found out from the hotel reception that the tariff is only 1500 and at maximum 2000 during peak seasons. The room is only worth that. It is just an 80sqft cubicle with a double bed and AC plus a small 20sqft toilet. That room is totally worth less than 1500. And that is the tariff as accepted by the reception guy. He was also wondering why makemytrip took 3600 from me. Now iam feeling cheated by makemytrip. If the hotel is charging only 1500, why is makemytrip charging 3600. They are taking 400 as makemytrip service fee. Still they took twice the tariff and totally cheated us. This kind of worst behavior was not expected from makemytrip. On the top of that i had to pay another 200 directly to the hotel as taxes. For a night's stay in a dungeon worth 1500, i end up paying 4000. Now iam totally depressed when i think of how makemytrip cheated me. Please beware of the rates whenever u book rooms through makemytrip. It is not cheap as they claim. They cheat you. THESE GUYS ARE CHEAP.

I had booked a round trip ticket from USA - India – USA on 09/14/2015. Make My Trip customer service played tricks during booking. I have seen a price online, while getting ready to book, received a call from Make My Trip customer service stating he is going to help to complete the booking with a best price. I said OK, then he took few minutes and said he is searching for the flight from his side and came up with a price higher than what I was supposed to pay online. Then he went on saying the price is increased due to someone else booked, etc. and asked to refresh the page to see latest price. To my surprise the price is now increased in online. I understood their tricks and said I do not want to book and will use another place to book. Then he starting playing using words and now came up saying he can help to get for the price I had seen in the website originally and can offer some wallet cash to use in future booking. This time I agreed to book (BIG MISTAKE). This fellow helped to book. I later came to know that I cannot choose the seats/meal or anything with airline until check-in. This made me worried because I am traveling with family and kid. The moment I learned this, called customer service to cancel the tickets because I was still within 24 hour cancellation period. As per the Department of Transportation, USA it is a law to allow consumer to cancel flight tickets for full refund if cancelled within 24 hours for any US originating flights. Refer to transportation.gov website for electronic document. MakeMyTrip customer service is nightmare - 1st they routed to multiple agent and most of the time it is only crappy loud music we have to hear. 2nd they keep saying tickets are no refundable and it is they’re company policy that they do not refund. Even after I explaining about the law and for which they should be adhering to, they kept refusing it. They disconnected my 1st call abruptly at 43 minutes, 2nd call ended at 56 minutes with the same exact discussions. I had called airline (Lufthansa) for assistance and they said I am 100% eligible to get full refund because I am within 24hours period but I need to get this done through MakeMyTrip. They even explained what MakeMyTrip should do to resolve this. And she provided the time by when it should be cancelled (09/15 11.59 PM). I had called again to MakeMyTrip and explained what Lufthansa asked to do so, this time they took the request and said will get back within 24 hours and void it. I believed this (another mistake)- I did not receive any further correspondence from MakeMytrip. I called again after 10 hours (09/15 8.00AM) to check status and now again I was given same lame answers, it cannot be cancelled it is our company policy, etc. There is another thing - 9/15 8.50 AM I again called Lufthansa to check, they're agent now saying it is now more than 24 hours and they cannot do anything. Now, this is contradicting with what her agent said earlier. She simply apologized and said the previous agent incorrectly calculated the time. Well, now I am at loss. Are these companies are above law? One-thing please stay away from these cheaters.

I have had the worst experience with make my trip. We had booked a holiday to bali and our agent was absolutely unprofessional! She didn't even give us the local number which we were supposed to use once we reach Bali which landed us in a huge trouble when we reached Bali. And each time she was sending us the details via mail she used to mention the wrong names. Very bad customer service by makr my trip and I would never suggest make my trip again to any one I know!!

A maharaja room was booked at Hotel Siddarth, Ram Bazar, Shimla through MakeMyTrip site, at a cost of Rs. 9805 after discount, for 3 nights (14/06/15 to 16/06/15). The specifications selected in the site was 4 adults in a single room. On arrival at the hotel, which doesn’t even have proper access by road, we realized that this is actually a double bed-room where in two extra people would be accommodated on make-shift arrangement. MakeMyTrip does not offer any refund on cancellation of rooms. Neither are such facts stated in their site so that customers may be sure of what they can expect. Having confirmed from the hotel manager that this was the best they had to offer, we contacted MakeMyTrip customer care in order to cancel the booking requesting a refund. 3 hours were spent at the reception desk of the hotel with no proper response from the team. Every effort to get a decent reply from the call centre went in vain as either we were put on hold stating they have to contact the hotel manager, or that they would call back in consultation with the concerned authorities. On two occasions, the call was simply cut without even listening to the issue. If this is the way a customer care responds to general public, its high time to stop trusting such sites that are meant to make our job easier. The hotel manager stated that according to his agreement with MakeMyTrip was supposed to carry out bookings for 2+1 adults at an extra rate of Rs. 300 per person, per night. But MakeMyTrip had charged Rs. 1600 as additional fee (2x3x300) to accommodate 4 adults in a double-bed room. In the end, we were forced to leave the room unoccupied, with no consideration from MakeMyTrip. The manager of the hotel, Mr. Kuldip Kukey has given in writing that the booking has been cancelled without occupation. A copy of the same along with the call records was sent to MakeMyTrip team to consider the facts and make a full refund of the amount wrongly claimed by hiding actualities in their site and misleading customers to make money. But the only outcome is innumarable mails and calls stating that the hotel is not ready to refund. When payment is made to MakeMyTrip, it becomes their responsibility to refund and not make payment to the hotel for an unoccupied room! It clearly shows that both are of the intention of making money and not help customers. Every customer needs to be entitled for a choice in room and nothing should be enforced under the name of cancellation policy. If this sort of unethical response is what we get, it is better we don't use them at all!

Make my trip is a company where no one should book their holidays, they will make you pay whole of your money and then they will forget about you. If anything misses in your booked package they will not going to listen to you as they already got their money. I have called them many a times but they havent replied me back. Bad service and bad experience. I will rate 0 out of 5.

Take them to Consumer court, I have taken them to consumers court, they play dirty with a couldn't careless attitude.
