This is a very convenient way of booking flight tickets, hotels or anything else when you plan your trip to India. Works fine, except when something goes wrong. In that case don't expect any service, they will always have an answer but not the one you're looking for, and unfortunately they will NOT refund your money. I went to Kashmir on 10 days holidays booked through Makemytrip. I paid all the expense fifteen days in advance. When I was in Srinagar my car driver suddenly said that there is no petrol in the car and his owner didn't give money to him. I spoke to the owner and he asked me to give him 3000 INR which he would return to me next day .Luckly I had only 1500 INR with me at that time. They are horrible. i am still struggling with the refund. Cancelled my ticket well in time and informed them but they did not refund my money and kept me waiting for two month even for response. After two months, i had to start all over and they refunded less money than they were supposed to - Rs 2500 less! This is my second regrettable experience with Make My Trip aka makemytrip.com. One of my confirmed flights was cancelled by the airline and it's been almost 20 days from the date of the flight. But make my trip haven't paid the refund into my account. They don't respond to emails and put you on hold endlessly when you call them. if you don't get a huge price differential, I would suggest not to touch makemytrip.com even with a bargepole. It has been impossible to cancel a booking in makemytrip. Fully Fraud. I made a booking for a International hotel. Due to some change in plans I login and try to cancel it, The system throws an error. They charge foreign transaction fee on your but they do not tell you. They will refund only if you complain. Lase time it happened so this year when I purchased the ticket I asked (Gurjot Kaur) and she said, it will not be charged but it was charged and just by chance I happened to notice and called. i have a same problem with them...I have a booking from I have an e ticket from Auckland to Delhi....I booked it 2 and half months before ....yesterday I went to check in the flight (Southern China) they told me that my ticket was cancelled by makemytrip.com...now after continuously calling them for 4 hours they telling me to wait till morning.....i am struck in hotel paying 150 N$ per day....

Purchased tickets from them after being assured i can get a full refund if i cancel within 24 hours. When I called within 24 hours, was told there will be a penalty for each ticket. The customer reps would not allow me to speak to their supervisors, gave excuses like their system went down and they'll contact me in 2 hours (when its past the 24 hours). My tripmtomKashmir from 7.6.12 to 13.6.12 to Kashmir was full of worst experiences.we were made to stay in Hotels 5-15 Kms. away from the main markets of the city.Food served was of very low quality.The staff of MMT made the guests pay exhorbitant charges to Pony and local transport operators.I will advise all to make full enquiries about MMT before deciding to travel with MMT.A horrible experience. Hi,
I just came from Charismatic Kashmir tour from MMT.(2nd week of july 2012). Im really satisfied by MMT,especially hospitalities by Hotel's n Staff.
I can suggest only to improve the Srinagar Houseboat facility and reviced the sightseeing.
MMT provided the best Hotel as they mentioned in thier package details in all places and thier food are too good.
I really appreciated to MMT & staff for thier co-operation in every places and like to business with them in future.

I am really surprised to see response of 16.7.12. The lesser said the better for Charismatic Kashmir tour from MMT.In fact i know atleast 2 persons who got Typhoid after their Trip. As I already mentioned the food quality at Srinagar was very poor and water served was dirty.How the Hotels can be good when there is no electricity in the Hotel for more than half an hour?.I feel the response is inspired one.I wish a good luck to Guest's response to my review.

hello,
As I told,its require to improve the houseboat facilities but the last 2 days in Srinagar was extremly fine, especailly provided Hotel was 4 star (Pine Spring) and its a month constructed. In Gulmarg & Phalgham hotel's are also very good (Hill Top). What we more need in that package?
I booked the tour from MiddleEast and we really apreciate the customer care people who guided us very well and manage every thing what we needed.

“Worst service ever, overcharged, no response to emails”

Worst service, they say they offer lowest price but when I booked a flight ticket from Dallas to Chennai they charged me nearly $300 more than what emirates would have charged and also they overcharged $300 and there is no proper response on when they would refund the money. The customer care people do not respond properly and they say we can expect reply for our emails within 24 hrs but it has been 3 days and no response so far. Do not every book through these guys. During the booking of the ticket I was informed that to change the date I would have to pay $300 plus the difference in airfare But I wasn't informed about the fact that they are allocated only few tickets for a particular class and that I would be unable to get a ticket or change my class. I have purchased a ticket from makemytrip.com. Pinara Mitesh Satish was customer service rep and he was the helping me and the ticket cost was $1360.00. The conversion rate for the one dollar was RS 55.00 but Pinara charging me at the rate of RS 50.00. He was extremely rude and I was on the phone for hour and half talking to him.
