Amazing! On the website I found my favourite fizz of all time. Major supermarkets used to stock this wine, but I now cannot buy it anywhere. Amazon were selling it at £23 a bottle the last time I looked. Slurp have it on offer at £8.95, normally on the website for £11.95.I ordered 6 bottles, before 12pm arrived at 12pm the next day. So glad I have Slurp and will continue to order from them. Amazing choice of wine and spirits. Will be great to use for Xmas, to order something that is a bit different. Thank you Slurp...please keep stocking my wine.

“Slurp with pleasure”

As previous reviewer stated, I had previously dismissed slurp due to reviews However one of the biggest problems for me of late is ordering wine at a stated vintage and then receiving a new vintage Waitrose and Amazon did this to me , Amazon twice !!! To be fair thou I got to get one lot and refunded so all wine was free Anyway slurp had the wine I was after Dead Arm 2012 and I decide to give them a chance, I ticked the box stating I didn't want a new vintage and. Paid, Then I realised it said orders sent next day if ordered by midday, ordered at 1pm doh! Then received an email saying it would be delivered next day Long story shorter ! Wine arrived today and all three bottles are 2012 Fair play Slurp Cheers ! Thank you for a swift painless transaction

“Great customer service ”

I was apprehensive about using this company after reading these reviews, but this was the only place that stocked the wine I wanted. I had very good experience. I ordered late on Tuesday and accidentally ticked the wrong delivery option, I wanted before midday but I selected the standard delivery instead. I noticed when I got my email confirmation so I sent an email to their customer service, I got a response within 10 minutes and they changed the delivery for me and I received my order early on the Thursday

“Slurp Busted Wine”

I have done two orders from Slurp. The last order was for 5 GBP50 per bottle order. It was a wine with a 97 from trusted critic reviews. This is the second bottle that I try and both of them are damaged. The same happened on my initial order for a different wine. I am starting to doubt the credibitly of slurp. Their good deals might be good because they are reselling damaged wine. 4 out of 4 bottles tried so far have been undrinkable. This is more than just mere bad luck!!

“No complaints from me!”

I took a risk going with Slurp as I saw that the reviews weren't too convincing. I've been very pleasantly surprised though! Submitted my order on Wednesday evening, paid for regular delivery, and it arrived on Friday! Good service and they were also the only place selling the wines I was after at a reasonable price. I would fully recommend.

“I'll ring you back in 20 minutes!...”

On (virtual)paper, Slurp do stock cracking wines and a good diverse selection. And when the wines do eventually arrive, they have been slurptastic! But couple this with the flaky customer service and the inability to inform you either by e-mail or by any other means as to when your wine will be delivered and if it's been delayed, why it's been delayed, then I'm afraid the overall experience of dealing with slurp is painful. As to slurp express and next day delivery, methinks they have a completely different definition of next day delivery to the rest of us! My latest Slurp express order was delayed 3 times owing to missing wines which I was told had been ordered or replaced then weren't,so was 13 days late, and sadly not completely what I had ordered. But my favourite ploy has to be when you ring up and make a polite(hopefully) inquiry; they say they'll ring you back then don't! Of course, when you have to ring back, there's a different person. My dealings with other wine companies such as Majestic,winedirect,Tanners etc.,however,have been flawless, as they understand the importance of customer service. So sadly,it's au revoir slurp and I have decided to donate my £2's worth of corkpoints to the company, so that they can invest in a better customer communication model! Santé!

“Avoid - avoid! This company does not deserve any...”

I ordered 6 bottles of wine which were advertised as available for next day delivery. Once the online order is completed a message pops up announcing that an order confirmation will be e- mailed. That never arrived. Because of that I logged into my slurp account only to discover that my wine was going to be delivered in 10 days time. I then googled the company and found some shockingly poor reviews. I contacted the company by e-mail and in fairness they did respond the same day assuring me the delivery would be made this Thursday. Did the wine arrive as promised? Heck it did. No update, no message - nothing. This will be my first and last order with slurp. This is simply not good enough. Shame on these Slurpers or Slackers

“Totally rubbish service and they don't care - AVOID!!”

Ordered 8 bottles of wine on a Sunday as a prsent for someone. 8 days later having chased the order it was delivered. It was a suprise to look inside the box and find only 6 bottles of wine and no sign of any explanation as to what had happened to the other two missing bottles. I emailed them to complain but they didn't both to respond. I called them and the person said that someone would definitely call me the next day and the missing wine could be delivered in another 3 days time. Obviously nobody called me the next day and 5 days on there is no sign of the missing wine that I have paid for. I buy wine from lots of companies but slurp.co.uk are very poor indeed and I would strongly recommend that you avoid them!

“Do not use!”

Terrible service. Order was still not dispatched three weeks after I ordered it. Was told this was because one of the items was out of stock. Changed the item and finally the order arrived - but all the wine was different from what I ordered! They say they credit your delivery if it takes over seven days but had to request this. Don't think I'll be using it though!

“Don't expect your order to turn up in time for your party”

Made two orders now - both orders have been for a dozen "next day delivery" bottles that have turned out to be out of stock, despite their website advertising them as available. On the most recent occasion they didn't even bother telling me that the items were out of stock. I sent 2 emails asking about my order that went unanswered and finally called them. No apology, no offer to send me different wines, so I cancelled the whole order and am hoping that they will actually refund me the money. Don't even think about ordering if you need the wine by a certain date, go elsewhere.

“Terrible service”

Almost a month since the order date - still no arrives. Delivery date changed twice and now it appears that they've stopped communication altogether. Terrible company, will never use again.

I've been using Slurp on and off for about 2 years. I don't order wine that much but over 7-8 orders I have only had one instance where I had cause for annoyance. I'm surprised so many other people have had bad experiences as I have hardly ever had cause for complaint. My orders are usually dispatched within a couple of days and only once has something been late and, since it was just before Christmas and I had a very apologetic customer service chap on the phone, it was not a huge issue. I received loyalty points as compensation, which I have just used on my latest order with them! The website is good and their prices seem to be better recently than they used to be. Their range of wines is superb considering what else is around. I don't buy from supermarkets - I can't bring myself to (except waitrose occasionally). So many wine shops have such bad websites, its a pleasure to order from one that they seem to actually think about. Overall, I really like these guys and I will continue to keep ordering so long as my experiences continue the way they have been!

“Didn't deliver, didn't respond”

* Their terrible business practice is only matched by the incompetence of their customer service * I ordered three bottles of wine as a Christmas present on the 11th of December, 9 days before the cut off for guaranteed delivery before Christmas. On the 20th I got an email saying my order was dispatched but 1 bottle would be dispatched at a later date, with no more information. My calls and email on the day went unanswered. Meaning I was left hoping to get it before Christmas, but I never did. I have since contacted them on three separate occasions, and I still do not know when or if my wine will be delivered.

“Didn't Deliver”

Ordered 8 bottles of quite expensive wine for Christmas. Despatched on 20 December - no trackable number - 5 bottles arrived 24 December when it was too late to call them. Left a message on their answering service and emailed them...no reply. Finally got them on the phone on 3rd January. Person on the other end totally uninterested, blamed the courier and promised the 3 missing bottles will be sent to me. We will see. Will update if they actually do arrive. Wouldn't use this company again. They also have the cheek to charge £6.00 delivery!! Wish I had read review about their delivery before ordering!

Review Update. Missing bottles arrived as promised in a proper Slurp box. Can only assume the first order was damaged by courier and repackaged...hence the missing 3 bottles

“Too many problems to mention!”

Their website has been advising guaranteed pre Christmas delivery for all orders placed before 20 December. Shame they couldn't deliver my order from 4th December and in three phone calls have given me three different excuses. It has been a courier error, sent to the wrong warehouse and out of stock all with 3 hours. This has seriously disrupted my Christmas plans as no other suppliers could help on 24 December. I will be taking advice from trading standards - an offer of delivery in the first week of January when they had never made any attempt to inform me of problems during the last 4 weeks, is simply unacceptable. I'd strongly advise against using this company.

Ordered a selection of wines on 16th December with a guaranteed delivery before Christmas. Emailed and left voice message on the 20th - no response. Called again on 24th only to be told they couldn't complete my order even though it was "in stock" on the website. Shocking customer service, guaranteed delivery promise simply not true, no confidence I would get order requested, just cancelled. Would recommend you look at another wine supplier

“Pretty impressed!”

I ordered 8 bottles of specialist ale on the evening of the 18th December from Slurp, they had a pre-Christmas guarantee arrival date but after other companies have let me down (photobox printing company) and their negative reviews I was a bit wary. My account page on their website initially said they would arrive on the 20.12, however since they weren't dispatched until that day they ended up arriving the morning of the 21.12 by FedEx. The parcel was trackable on the FedEx page and they were packaged brilliantly (I recently ordered some drinks from another online company and they weren't separated by bubble wrap - just in a box with some cardboard dividers in meaning they were jingling around and all shaken up when they arrived). After being initially wary, I have actually been very impressed. Although delivery was a day later than suggested initially, considering how busy everybody is this time of year I'm just please it got here in advance of Christmas. Obviously a lot of other people are saying that they sold products they didn't have in stock and I was very fortunate that didn't happen to me but I just wanted to let people know they can successfully dispatch and deliver your goods and they're not completely useless!

“misleading and blatant lies”

Ordered some beer at the start of november which was shown on slurp website as in stock. Once my order had been processed the estimated delivery date showed as 10th december! on the 10th of december this date suddenly changed to show the 14th. I made a phone call to slurp and was advised that delivery would be the next day ( a blatant lie).when it didnt arrive i called again and was advised they would sort it out and have delivery made in the next couple of days. still no sign of my order and no reply to my last 5 or 6 emails. conmen!

“Promises Much but doesn't Deliver - Literally!”

I ordered wine which showed as being available and was at a good price. However, after going through checkout my on-line account showed a much later delivery date, longer than I was able to wait as it was for a party. Consequently I rang up and cancelled the order. I was offered alternative wines which were in stock and ready to ship but they weren't to my taste. The very pleasant guy on the phone apologised and said my money would be returned to my account that afternoon. Thus far disappointing but not too much of a problem. However, a few days later I checked my bank account - no refund. Slurp website showed my order as still live and now with a delivery date of early December! This despite the fact that I was told if I hung on for the wine it would only be a couple of days late. I contacted them again and was told that they couldn't understand why the refund hadn't taken place and would look into it straight away. True to their word they called back and said the refund had now been processed. Problem being if I hadn't checked then the order would have gone ahead when I'd already been out and bought alternative wines and the occasion had long passed. Needless to say I wasn't best impressed and voiced my unhappiness. Wine out of stock when showing as available is poor, but to promise an immediate refund and neglect to put it through is too bad. Would like to give them another try but don't see it happening. I've lost confidence I'm afraid.
