Good quality laser prints
Photocopy fast, easy and cheap (unlike inkjet models)
Toner reasonably priced
Unit reasonably priced.
Does a good job for very little money and toner refill is reasonably priced as well.

“I bought it from Brother as an 'as new' reconditioned...”

I bought it from Brother as an 'as new' reconditioned unit on eBay over a year ago. Software has a control centre which seems OK but I never properly mastered it mainly because I already had OCR and other applications loaded which have more features.

Has a tiny LCD control panel, another thing I haven't learnt about. At the end of the day I just want to press print and get on with it.

A bit bulky but quite pleasing feel and style to it.

Overall I like it a lot but don't trust it unlike the old trusty steed it replaced.

I gave it away in January 2008 because the 'door open error' became more frequent and bought an HP1018 which is great.

“The Brother DCP-7010 Copier, Printer & Scanner...”

The Brother DCP-7010 Copier, Printer & Scanner multifunction printer has brilliant software included covering:
a) scanning to file, email and print
b) very simple photocopying (even for my wife)
c) Easy to print double sided and envelopes with manual feed
d) Software enables 2 or 4 pages to be printed on one page

Time to initial print is about 45 seconds, but unless you need colour - go for it!
