I am convinced that the flat disc with two shaving blades on the B&Q TRY1800CSB will never handle small cuttings, leaves, etc.! Similarly the screw based models, although these at least do a great job with branches in full leaf.
What we need is something like a Kenwood Chopper my wife has in the kitchen, on a larger scale? The original Black and Decker Shredder did this with a combination of shaving disc and a one inch high, "V" shaped blade which rotated above the disc on the same spindle.
