Good Points: The engineers who have been have been very nice!

Bad Points: There are too many to list!

General comments: We bought a Hotpoint DWF50S dishwasher just over one year ago. Since buying it we have called out an engineer 7 times. The pump has gone twice! It is the biggest waste of money we have ever spent, and if we had not taken out an extended warranty it would be down the dump by now!

The Hotpoint DWF50S dishwasher is a big disappointment. Other dishwashers in the past from this company have been fine, but this one fails by a long mark. Ours has had 3 faults in 18 months. Heater, pump, and now an unknown one. The machine will not always clean the top draw, and the below plates are dirty if on the far left back corner. The Hotpoint DWF50S does not clean anything properly on the top shelf of the unit, despite me prewashing the items. Has now developed a fault code which Hotpoint won't tell me it's meaning, requiring an engineer to attend. Oh and by the way the machine is 14 months old!! In addition, the bottom tray has only enough height clearance to accept the smallest of dinner plates, so unless you are on a diet of lettice nad non fatty food, served up on a tea plate this machine is useless - avoid it.

Hotpoint DWF50S - Hopeless results. Numerous fault codes displayed that the engineer could not fix, ended up with replacement machine which is just as useless.
    Avoid like the plague.
