    Pleasant location, name of restaurant speaks for itself.Very solid Italian family cooking.

    I am a big fan of Massino's but Bella Vista surpassed even them.

    Honestly if you are even slightly romantic the place will blow you away just with the views. If you want really good Italian food cooked fresh then it's the place to go.

    will definitely be going back to Bella Vista. Amazing food and views, prices weren't too bad, nice place for a romantic dinner.

    A horrible and costly experience. They have the location all they need is a good chef and staff. Best avoided until they do!!

    Bella Vista has a great location and used to be very popular as a good local Italian restaurant. The food and service are all good but the prices of the meal and drinks are amazingly high. You could eat in some of the top Italian resturaants in Edinburgh city centre for the same money. We went on friday evening and there were only 5 tables occupied. Only go if you don't mind being ripped off.

    I wasn't impressed with Bella Vista at all. The food was quite pricey and very salty. Seem to be paying for the view rather than anything else :( Won't be going back I am afraid.

    I went to Bella Vista with my girlfriend and her Mother. At first, I wasn't too keen on going having read the reviews and having seen the prices on their menu on a previous occasion, but eventually decided to go to see for ourselves. We went into the Restaurant and were seated at a table with a view, like I requested, but upon reading the Menu in the Restaurant, discovered that numerous dishes on the Menu in the Restaurant were at least 1 pound more expensive than the Menu outside read.     My wife had minestrone soup with a very few pieces of veg floating at the top and had to ask for bread, £5-75. My daughter, and her aunt, had steak pie with rubber chips, meat tough, nice pastry, tasty gravy, no veg no potatoes. My vegetarian son in law, who is an italian food lover, had to order from the main a la cart menu.     If you order from the lunchtime menu at Bella Vista in South Queensferry, be prepared to be hungry afterwards. I ordered cannelloni, which turned out to be just one cannelloni! I burst into laughter thinking it must be a joke. It wasn't even a starter portion. Most of it was actually stuck to the bottom of the dish it came in. We complained but the staff didn't seem to know how to deal with a complaint and were of no use. We were told to order off the main menu if we wanted larger portions. Don' ...
