Ive owned this driver since the day it was released and I still cannot justify taking it out the bag I consitantly hit it 300yrds and see no reason to be buying brand new equipment when I can do whatever I want with this driver. I find it easy to hit and easy to shape and I have dropped 12 shots off my handicap since its purchase 4 years old now and if i lost it or it was stolen or broken I would be gutted. I have the 10.5 regular and it feels superb I've hit some monsters lately and she's... (read more)

I had a titleist 909d2, 8.5 custom fitted, with a prolaunch red stiff shaft. Dont get me wrong i was hitting this well 270 carry nice fade shot. I was recently playing a round with a friend and he has the Rapture 9 Deg, stiff Aldila vs proto. I had a couple of hits with this and all i can say it is amazing. The next day i purchased one from e bay at a steal at £85 including postage. I have played 4 rounds with this so far and it will be staying in the bag. I play off 3 and i am hitting this... Had a fitting with the local golf pro for a new Ping Driver.Tried out the G10 G15 and Rapture V2. He worked on my swing speed to find which shaft would suit. Hit a lot of balls to discover on which loft. Regular shaft with 13.5 loft was the answer. I decided to buy the Rapture V2. It just felt better all round. Can now hit the ball further and straighter and have knocked my handicap down by 4 shots. It's a great club and gives you confidence on the tee. I would urge people to get fitted... (read more)

I bought this Ping Rapture club because i found a good deal on it, instead of the 500-600, it was on clearance for 200, so i tested it out and loved it. It seems not to hit as far as my older criver but i can hit it straighter then ever which might make up for my distance loss on my slice. (read more)

this Ping Rapture driver is great for all people inbetween the sizes of kids and mens because it is one of the shorter drivers it has nice flex and always puts it straight down the fairway and because you can get it quite flexible it is easier for me to use. at some stores it will be quite expensive making it up to 500.00 but if you find the right deal you will find some like mine that i bought for only 220.00 (read more)

I just took up golfing this year and i had gotten in about 20 rounds prior to purchasing the ping rapture. It easily added another 30 yds from my goliath black fly 12 degree. I was expecting really nothing out of it besides a little more flash in my bag, What a pleasant suprise! (read more)

I owned the G5, G10 and the first Rapture.
I am a 7 handicaper and hit the driver on the fairway most of the time, Still the best driver I have used and longer and straigter than the New Callaway FTQ1, I bought the FTQI and it is still sitting in the wardrobe.

If your swing speed is 90 or less, you most likely will find that the Ping Rapture will perform better for you than any of the upgrade shafts. You will enjoy the club very much if you have the right shaft as well as the right loft. (read more)

I will use this club for a long time, the Ping Rapture golf driver probably took 3 or 4 strokes off my round. It is much easier to keep on the fairway than the G10 or the r7. Excellent distance and control. Not the longest driver but by far the easiest to get away that I have tried. Get your swing measured for shaft type. I was surprised at the difference this made to the straightness of the drive. (read more)

When it was time to replace my ISIs, I compared the Rapture with the G10.
With the Raptures, I hit the ball higher and longer by 5-10 yards. I bought SW-UW-6 soft graphite set late last season.
The soft graphites are too light. I have added many lead taps. I can stop the ball a lot quicker (not sure if that is because of the higher ball flight or the new groove or a combination). In addition, I now hit the ball a lot straighter instead of a draw.
The Raptures cost more than the G10. I like...

Fantastic driver- I have the Addila proto 65 S shaft in mine. Do not know if it is the longest driver, but who cares when it is so easy to hit straight- it is long enough. To be fair, if you get a driver you like and you tend ot keep your clubs for a long time, then '£269 pound is an excellent investment. I also would have paid more for a better club if I could have found one:-)
Get fitted for the correct shaft though- many bad reviews for drivers are solely based on the shaft choice....

I spent 2 hours testing various clubs (Callaway FT-5, and X-460) and the Ping G-10 using a launch monitor. I mixed lots and shafts to see which combination worked better with my swing when compared to launch monitor results with my current driver (Ping G5 with stiff shaft). Near the end the saleman suggested I try the Ping Fusion with a standard stiff shaft. The results were amazing. 15-20 yards better on average than any of the other drivers (with no compromise on accuracy) I had... (read more)

This club has a great head shape and in my opinion is the best looking driver on the market. It is made even better when used with an upmarket shaft option as the standard ping shaft (both regular and stiff) feels and operates more like a ladies shaft. (read more)

I purchased one of these drivers almost 2 weeks ago after trying out the G5 and various other drivers. i found the rapture gave me better control and greater distance. 300yds on a good day and for a 28 handicapper that is fantastic! I expect to be knocking 4 or 5 shots off my 14 hcap this season as the long par 4s are less daunting and the par 5s are no more than long par 4s. In a nutshell, the best club I have and the best I have ever bought by a mile. (read more)

I have searched for years for a strong, consistent driver, but without success...until now. As a 10 handicap, senior golfer, I have been playing with Callaway Fusion irons, and a mixed bag of woods, mainly Cobra, but a Taylor Made Rescue 4 iron and various drivers, until now. I happened to be at the range when Ping was holding a demo day, and decided on a whim to try the drivers. The Ping Rapture and G2 and G5 were all on display, but the Rapture definitely took the day. Several friends were... (read more)

The best thing I have ever done, is purchasing a Ping Rapture golf driver stiff shaft.
I strongly recommend anyone to buy one. I am a 28 handicap player, and since buying the Rapture I have just finished second overall in a Stapleford match. I am well pleased, and it's down to the extra distance and accuracy of the Rapture. Get one A.S.A.P. Don't wait for Santa.

The Ping Rapture is a pleasure to use! It's amazing the amount of technology that goes into this club, they even used Acoustic engineering to make it sound nice!
The result of all this technology? A solid feel, longer hitting and a driver the inspires confidence on even the tightest fairways. Highly recommended!
