“Mis sold product and unsafe installation”

Bought tv and paid for an installation service to hide the cables/wires in trunking. When the engineer delivered the tv they just put it on the wall and never hid the cables. The engineer told pc world no longer provide such a service, despite the salesman saying otherwise! I went back to the store and spoke to a manager and it transpired the salesman sold me the wrong installation service. “Know How , beware 'No Care'”

bought pc. It developed catastrophic failure after 10 months. Pc world refused to refund - "insisted" on repair as i had owned it over 21 days. came back working - 3 months later faulty again they categorically refused to refund - i may end up with a money pit and they dont give one AVOID them cos after 21 days you are on yer own they helpfully tell you they are within their rights… Read Full Review

Avoid at all costs. My daughter bought a HP laptop which immediately broke. Customer service appalling. When My daughter went to citizens advice and was advised to put her concerns in writing, be aware they only have a PO box address, when she phoned them up to ask wether they had received the letter, she was told they had no one avilable to pick letters up from PO box, would be laughable if not so CRAP!!! I went to the Aberdeen store, at bridge of dee, and picked up a charger. I then attempted to also buy an iPad. I was advised that it was out of stock and was advised that the item would be available in another store. I went to that store, 25 minutes away in traffic. They told me it was out of stock. Once upon a time, Curry's was a nice store, with helpful knowledgeable assistants and a good product range. PC World was always,in my experience, the world's most annoying store. Then the two became one and the worst of PC World has attached itself to Curry's. You can never find an assistant. In the Exeter Digby branch The "Knowhow" counter has two people working on it, and a queue taking up to half an hour to get served. You can't phone your local branch. “worst service ever!”

Purchased a washer, a dryer and a fridge freezer. The contract stated that old appliances would be removed and that products would be unpacked and packaging taken away. Delivery men refused to take old product and did not unpack anything. When began to unpack the washer the door was hanging off as the hinge bolt was sheared. “Staff could not even use a computer ”

Went to buy a printer from P C World St Helens. They did not have the item in stock so the sales man went about ordering it on line. I was there for 40 minutes while he tried to order . His knowledge of the web site was terrible. He kept having to ask other members of staff how to input details and codes, after 40 minutes I gave up the idea of buying from them and came home and bought it on line myself from a different company. “No people skills”

I went to Currys PCWorld at the Castle Marina location for a set of headphones and I felt it would have been easier and less distressing getting a plaster for a superficial flesh wound at A&E. Not only was the staff member I spoke to ill informed I felt as if the way he spoke to me was as if he was a used car salesman. I should have learned from dealing with them before but have stupidly gone back. All nice as pie when you're interested in buying so etching but once bought and you've got problems with something they're not interested. “Worst customer experience at Weybridge branch”

Got my first laptop from PC world and everything seemed fine. Until a few months in my DVD drive would jutter and stop playing films. This was not a dirty disc as i tried several new ones.
