Good Points: I can not think of any thing good to say about them,!!!!

General comments: The chap i had dealings with acted just like the guy off the natwest advert! the one when the customer has a complaint and then the bad bank manger explains how the interest charges, are for the banks Christmas do's! well that's what this chap at pc world did to me, such bad customer service, i broke my tab button on my lap top figured pc world could fix it, yeah they can at a cost of £230.00, and telling me how i needed to buy a whole new key pad, i rang sony they sent me a new button for free and all is working fine. So no thanks pc world. What ever they tell you check it out before you agree to pay for repairs or any thing for that matter.

Over the past few weeks I have bought a few items from PC world. I have purchased:Advent lap top for me an Acer One mini Laptop for my daughter, a 19 LCD panel for my son and a Printer.Fortunately I do a lot of research online before buying. I have spoken to variety of sales people at PC world, and in my experience they did not seem very helpful to me. Price wise if you do research you will find PC world can do some great prices. I would have scored them higher but I think some of the accessori ...

The Lakeside store was very poor with customer relation. A laptop was under warrently and I had their support package but a young lady started talking about charges, so I reminded her that it was under warranty and any repairs were free.

I brought a computer from PC World a little over a year ago. Was in a box for 6 months due to family issues and when set up it was rarely used and when it broke 1 day out of its year guarantee, they refused to fix the computer without charge, as did the manufacturer Phillips. I was transferred from department to department and charged for each number I had to call and ended up paying £150 for the repair myself.

I would write a review on the PC I bought from PC World or the TFT I went to buy the other day from my local PC World but as yet, try as I might, I have been into PC World, with money, to purchase items and left with nothing. A couple of years ago, against my better judgement I went into PC World in Guildford to purchase a PC. They had special offers on and I identified the machine I was after. I went to a member of staff who was putting price labels on some boxes to ask for his help. He wou ...

Went to PC World Ayr Branch, wanted to pop in to buy a printer for my small business and get straight back to work. First of all forget what is on display, this apparently does not mean you can simply buy it, oh no not at PC WORLD. For a company selling computers I think their system sucks. They kept me hanging about forever while they looked on their PC`s to see what they have in stock, after an age they gave up and looked in the store. They knew I was in a hurry but tried to take all my detail ...

I always seem to walk out empty handed even though I go in looking to buy. I think they need better selections and less cluttered shops.

PC World has great service, low prices, and as long as you're patient with the staff (some don't always know things) then they're usually pretty good.

Was given no advice as to buying an extended warranty in store, after having laptop for just over a year it broke. When I rang up to ask how much a repair would be I was told it would be at least £300, as someone who doesn't earn much working 2 jobs as well as completing an Open University course I cannot afford that, when I told customer services that I wasn't satisfied with the repair price I was told that it wasn't their problem as I didn't have an extended warranty. Which would be fai ...

Customer service is a alien concept for the people that work for this company, all they do is try to sell you an extended warranty on what your buying even if you tell them that a £30 warranty on a £40 printer is not worth it. My family and I have all had bad experiences at PC world, Ok the stuff might be cheap for special TV deals, the stack em high sell em cheap business model, but have a problem and you are in trouble. It took my brother 6 months and an appearance on a local con ...

Bought a PC, and it failed to work. on returning to the shop they didnt want to know. was passed from pillar to post, and it took 3 stressful months before the computer was replaced. i had to keep phoning, emailing and sending letters. i would strongly advise anyone thinking of purchasing a pc NOT to buy from this company. this is the worst purchase that i have ever made. The customer service was the worst i have ever experienced,

We bought a Compaq computer deal at Easter and there was a fault went back to store 3 times in all in the end asked for money back they totally refused point blank to give us a refund. We have had comfirmation from compaq that there is a fault with one of the drivers and pc world staff don't give a damn. Will be seeking legal advice now.

I waited for 20 minutes for advice on a graphics card for my pc, was given one to buy which wasn't compatible with my pc. Took it back to PC World, waited another full 20 minutes to be seen by the 'tech guys' as those on the tills 'couldn't do refunds'. The 'tech guy' kept apologising for the wait, explaining that he wasn't well (why did I need to know that???) and proceeded to complain about the company he worked for whilst he gave me the refund. The telephone rang throughout each visit without ...

Emails have been unanswered, even if you send a couple of them. They are not providing the service they are offering, in my opinion.

Very disappointing service. I ordered a game for Christmas online, travelled over an hours journey to collect it just to be told they never had it after all. Customer services say as they don't take payment with order online they cannot promise it will be in the store. I find this a very inefficient system! Next morning we get a call and they say 'sorry we have not got your game; completely unaware I already went up day before!! No great sympathy from C/S complaints dept and no compensation fo ...

I spent 40 minutes in Old Kent road, London PC World store trying to get advice on a laptop i wanted to buy. I asked for the manager who said come back at 11am tomorrow and i will personally serve you but I'm going home now - bye manager - asked person at till if certain laptop in stock "dunno" was reply - most of staff wouldn't know a pc if it bit them, plus they spend most of their time trying to avoid customers. I have no idea how the PC word Dixons Currys group stay in business with their la ...

Rubbish. I brought a laptop back in December of 2006 and about 28 days ago I phoned up it just would not charge up or anything so they sent it off and guess what... they sent it to the wrong place! I phoned up and they told us if we do not receive it within 28 days because it is under a year I would get to choose a new laptop. 26 days later on a Saturday, no courier, on a Sunday no courier, they are still waiting for the parts so we phoned them up. I have coursework due in on Tuesday and they sa ...
