I ordered a Callifornian 11 spa the start of March 2012. I paid $2000 depostit and was told that in order to get the spa at the special price, I must place my order that day...The Spa was due in and ready to be dispatched to me on 16 March 2012. It is now July and I have NOT recieved my spa! I have emailed them continually since march and keep getting the run around that they are trying to fine where the spa is. I had enough and asked for a refund.... once again the run around and false... (read more)

I want to order a spa with this company but I am having second thoughts - they wont a 50% deposit and can't give a delievery date for the spas that are not even landed from China in Australia - do I spell a rat? They are doing a very hard sell it would be good to get some feedback from someone who has used this company as they tell me they have been in business for 8 years (read more)

As it turns out the man who owns Southwest spas also trades under many other names such as Sunseal spas and Bahai spas. We ordered a spa with his associate and when my partner questions the terms of trade he abused him and said he did not want his business and would refund our $1000.00 deposit. That was 8 weeks ago and after many unanswered emails and phonecalls we are having to get the ACCC involved- yes you did small at rat! no doubt there will be many more posts about this company - I only wish i had done my research!

Hi There,
I was so scared paying for the spa 50% and then remainder prior to us picking up the spa, but I was really happy with the outcome. We purchase a California II Spa and it is great. The whole spa including the pump is of high quality. Couldnt recommend this company more. Just keep all of your email correspondence just in case there are any problems re inclusions. Hope this helps.

We bought a stereo spa from southwest in June 2006. It has been heavily used all year, every weekend, and in the week, up to 6 hours on sat and sundays. No problems anart from the kids broke the water fountain, turned it too tight, one call and it was fixed, although it took 2 weeks. I have not had any problems with these guys, i cant see why other people seem to be anoyed with them. Do you actually look after your tub? (read more)

I purchased a hot tub from Southwest Spas in May 2008 and have had nothing but problems, the price was very cheap but the product is of a poor quality and so far there has been little aftersales support.
I just wish I was aware of that before I spent nearly £4000 ordering one!
What should have been a relaxing purchasing is stressing me out and I am £1000's of out of pocket as a result.

"the price was very cheap but the product is of a poor quality ".......and that surprises you?? Generally when I read reviews like this I often wonder whether anything has ever been sold to anyone that is cheap and is of superior quality than the competition, and I can safely say NO. You get what you pay for!

I purchased a £7,000 Spa Model 6000 from Southwest Spa UK. It broke within a few months and they have not sorted out my problems yet. The showroom in Worcestershire has now closed down and I am having to contact Australia. My advice is don't buy one as you could end up with the problems that I have. (read more)

I also bought a spa from these people. It was delivered quickly but it leaked in several places, pressure switches didnt work and it came with no filters. New filters were sent. At the same time we bought an ozonator, this didnt work so we complained and were sent a replacement not compatable with the spa. We posted both items back to get a refund at the beginning of august and are still waiting. have emailed australia with no response. any info people could give would be appreciated

Hi, I'm in the UK and my SPA has a major crack in the base - 'new' UK distributor wash their hands of it saying old company went into liquidation. Same company name, same town - maybe it's just a coincidence.....
Main point is I tried to claim on Manufacturers Shell warranty - I have to pay to ship it to the states where they will inspect it and 'if' it's faulty I'll have to pay 50% for a new one plus the costs to ship back to the UK and import taxes.
This warranty I assume is the same for all their spas - so it you live outside california that it's a worthless warranty - buy from a company who gives a worthwhile warranty to save yourself all the trouble.

I too have been ripped off by this company.
I will be contacting the ACCC and Fair Trading.
I will also be contacting A Current Affair program to see if they are interested in following this scam of a company.
How did you go getting your refund

As I had paid most of the money on my credit card, the bank refunded me the money and then I guess they chase it up with the company.
After I had posted this comment, I still had problems with them. They had said that THEY refunded me the money and that I got double paid from them and my bank and that they were going to have me charged with fraud..... I coppied all my bank details and sent it back showing that they were VERY wrong. How dare they accuse me of being fraudulent!
I paid $1800 on credit card which bank paid me and $200 on Paypal which they ended up giving me back.
Terrible company to deal with!
Hope you get your money back, Good Luck!
P.S. I found that contacting them EVERY DAY worked. (they got sick of me) haha
