Sony Ericsoon W850 has got nice features , but the problem is with the screen which keeps on freezing and switching it self off . Don't buy this phone it will let you down when you least expect it.

As this is a Sony Ericsson walkman phone, there is an exceptional music player which can hold 100s of songs on it with the included 1GB memory card which can also hold 100s of pictures and videos; this brings me to the camera quality - very poor! The picture comes out fuzzy even in natural light! You would not think this of other Sony Ericsson 2mb phones so why this one? I really don't know. Although, if you are more interested in simply texting, making calls and listening to music this phone is ...- Read leafy123's review (109 words)

Sony Ericsson have come out trumps on this phone. An extremely easy to use menu lets you find your way around the phones generous features with ease.Battery life is good, with the phone needing a charge every 3 days based on my usage (about 20 texts a day and about 10 minutes talk time). Browsing the web is incredibly easy. Just press the one touch internet button on the front and you are online at very quick speeds.I love the 2.0 Mega pixel camera on the phone as I take a lot of pictures on i ...- Read robbt's review (296 words)

The Sony Ericsson W850i looks good and elegant and smooth like, lots of functions, great sound, and excellent memory. Although it is quite large phone, would prefer it smaller. Overall it is an excellent phone!! it caught my eye straight away, as i was looking around for a new phone : D- Read rhians25's review (52 words)

Overall this is a good phone with plenty of features. However in my opinion there are a couple of things that let it down. My previous phone was Motorola V3. If I missed a call, or text message, or failed to acknowledge an appointment alert, the V3 would beep every few minutes to warn me. This feature is completely absent on the Sony Ericsson W850i, and it means I am much more likely to miss important calls, messages or appointments. Another shortcoming is the keylock. The keys lock when the sli ...- Read stevecase51's review (245 words)

Here is a copy of the letter that I have sent to Orange.....
I am contacting Orange to express my complete dissatisfaction over recent developments with what I consider to be faulty substandard equipment.
My handset, Sony Ericsson W850i, has been replaced four times since I started my contract with Orange in Feb '07. All of the replacement handsets have been reconditioned handsets with the same if not similar fault when the handset either switches itself off or freezes whenever any applica ...- Read kjkir's review (728 words and 1 comment)

I used to have a Siemens phone before this so it was quite an important upgrade for me. Excellent choice of a phone, if you are not that business guy sending and receiving various emails. I would strongly recommend it, although I didn't like it's appearance in the beginning.- Read ntalikeris's review (266 words)

This is a very easy to use, superb phone. After having the Sony Ericsson W850i for about a month, it is still impressing me with clever and in depth applications. This is a very sleek and stylish looking phone. I upgraded from my k750i which was a superb phone, however I am still impressed by the w850i. You can even use the phone with the slider closed! This phone also has a great radio reception and the music player is easy to use. The W850i also has a 'flight mode' function, so you can use it ...- Read koolchris's review (255 words and 1 comment)

On the whole I am very impressed with the Sony Ericsson W850i phone, but I think it could be a little cheaper. I really love the universal Sony memory card, and larger memory can be purchased.
The data transfer between PC and phone is very easy to use and fast. I have a vast library of music which is categorised and easily accessible. The Walkman button although most of the time a great function is very annoying if accidentally hit as takes a couple of seconds loading and then cancelling.

I got this as an upgrade from my W810i. It seemed like the logical progression, it was supposed to do everything my W810i does and more.
I put my memory card in it to see what it was like playing tracks. The walkman isn't as easy to navigate as my W810, but it sounds great and it does this really cool thing where the front lights up bright orange and pulsates in time to the music.
I then went to change the theme because the colours and icons looked kind of ugly. I had hoped that the walkma ...- Read mscongeniality's review (530 words and 6 comments)
