Good Points: Star is a fun read when you are really bored - eg. in hospital.

Bad Points: It is full of so many rubbish-filler pages, childish language, and it has a layout that looks like it's been done by a ten year old. Also, it totally rips off the much better Heat magazine, by copying all its unique features and trying to be really funny, but just ends up coming off desperate.

General comments: Star Magazine is an unnecessary addition to the celebrity magazine market. It is also the worst magazine when it comes to weight. It targets celebrities with "Jelly Bellies", and then slags them off as being "uber-skinny", then has lots of diet pages dedicated on how to be as thin as them. One time on the front cover, it actually had a picture of Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez and said "How do they stay so skinny?", and inside told you not to eat chocolate and go to the gym every day. It's a bad message for kids, as it gives the wrong message.
