The McCulloch MS1842AVCC is a good looking saw and has a nice carrying case, however, the chain break sticks sometimes. It is awkward to handle. The chain tool is useless. Repair service short of impossible. Mine personally broke after 4 hours. After four months in the repair shop, it still isn't done. Parts are on back ordered. I doubt I am the only one that had this problem if there are no parts. It is poop, you could cut down a tree with a steak knife faster.

The McCulloch MS1842AVCC is light weight and easy to change the chain, however the 42cc is very underpowered for an 18" blade, can be tough to start and keep running at times. It needs more power. Would make a decent saw for cutting the occasional tree that comes down in an urban yard, but just does not have the power to handle anything larger.
