The Renault Scenic 1.6 RT is a practical popular car but Renault reliability seems very poor compared with my previous laguna which was far more reliable. Far happier with my citroen picasso which drives far better and is much more comfortable to drive. Good points are fuel economy, space in the cabin although boot not large enough for a familys holiday luggage. Bad points were poor cornering and engine well underpowered for longer journeys. I found the driving seat position poor, I found it gave me terrible ankle pain in accelerator foot on a longer journey. Always cost a few hundred pound to get through its mot each year and final straw was a bill for a head gasket of 800 pounds on a car that had only covered 79,000 miles.

The Renault Scenic must surely be the worst car we have owned EVER! It was a T plate 1998 (I think) things broke here and there interior and outside, the car was not abused or treated harshly it was used by a comunity nurse who done a lot of miles, but the car is the worst car yet!

However, it had 40k on the clock but looked like it had done over 100k, wearing out fast. Faulty coils meant it didn't work properly at first (the garage should have noticed this when they prepped it), then the heating wouldn't turn off, even if I pulled all the fuses! Then the starting motor failed. Not good for a five year old car with ...
