Good Points: Windows looked nice. Products seemed to be good quality.
Bad Points: The in my opinion unpleasant phone calls I got when they didn't get my business.
General comments: I was generally happy with the visit from the Anglian Home Improvements salesperson, although I was disappointed that I could not be provided with a copy of the quotation (although I understand this is company policy). I decided to accept a considerably lower offer from Everest. I received a phone call from the salesperson at Anglian who offered me a price nearly half the original quote. Whilst I understand the system of haggling over prices, I was rather disgusted that the original quote had been so high when clearly this wasn't necessary. I thanked him for his time but then received another phone call from a different salesperson who offered me another further discount. I felt was pressed to give details regarding my transaction with Everest which I was not happy to divulge. I said I preferred to honour my existing contract and had to hang up as the salesperson would not accept my saying "thank you but no thank you". Although Anglian did not secure my business at this time, I would have been happy to consider them for other services in future or possibly recommend them as an option to other people. Unfortunately the way I was treated on the telephone subsequently has resulted in my not wishing to have further dealings with Anglian.

Windows fitted by Anglian Home Improvements were OK. Front door, however, looks cheap (daft plasticky mouldings), and has all the sound insulation quality of a sheet of plywood. Was visited today by installation manager who checked installation was OK, so that's the end of that then I suppose. Our previous door was much better, and I wish we hadnt got rid of it for this piece of rubbish! Thankfully we had decent fitters.

We had 9 windows and a classic front door fitted by Anglian Home Improvements. They look fantastic and are everything we were told they would be.

Was quoted £2200 for a front door only.
After picking my jaw up off the floor, I explained to the sales person that that was over my budget. He dropped the price eventually to just over £1000. I thought the sales person was a bit pushy. Why could I not get that price in the first place.

I recently had an Anglian Home Improvements conservatory installed. They are now claiming I have a £900 debt with them, and if I do not clear it by Wed 7th May 08, by noon, my guarantee will be cancelled and they will add 2% interest per month to the £900.The reason I am not paying is because the sales rep advised i would need a wind post in a 3meter fire wall (which building control do not insist on), and it was not installed - we asked the fitters to show is the wind post when the ...

I would never ever use this company again. Fitting was shoddy, service was poor and overall design was wrong and required an architect and significant remedial works put things right 18 months after installation. No compensation or apology was ever received.

I have ordered 8 windows and 2 doors with Anglian Windows thinking that they are the best in UK, in quality and service. I have made the appointment through internet and got £150 discount voucher which says can be redeemed when you give the order at the ordering point (this £150 will come off from the total price). The sales men gave me a price of £7000. I had a quote for £3300 from a local window company which is also a reputed one; I told him this and decided not to ...

I must say that when I first read the Anglian reviews I was worried, having just signed a contract for 10 windows and one of our doors, also a conservatory. However, the company rang me to arrange an installation date for the windows and at that I advised them that I do not accept bad workmanship or pay for it.
The fitters arrived and I also politely explained the above to them. From then on it was plain sailing. I gave them tea and coffee all day and they done a very good job in fitting the d ...

Parents had windows fitted and were offered 500 pounds to recommend a friend or family to Anglian Windows. We purchased a conservatory on the basis of this offer, but parents have now been told they are not eligible for the 500 pound reward?
Nearly 3 months on I am still getting nowhere in claiming the 500 pounds for my parents, customer service is non existent and I've made numerous phonecalls to no avail.
I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I paid £30,000.00 for a conservatory with Anglian Windows that 3 years on still leaks like a drain, has blown the electrics, caused mould to grow on the ever damp floor and walls and now they think it's our fault that the roof on their conservatory is leaking - I have contacted watchdog and my local tv station. They might be a big comnpany, but I will not let them get away with this.

If you want to risk being stressed out, have lots of sleepless nights, argue with your other half sign a agreement with Anglian. They treat me with contempt and seemed to have no idea on communication.

It turns out that the original caller was just employed to get names and addresses, everything he said appears now to be a complete lie.

It is now 12 months since Anglian windows came to replace some ageing PVC windows and doors. I WISH I HAD NEVER BOTHERED.
I have had mega problems with these so called professionals, sorry only joking when I said professionals.
I started the process of placing an order in December 2006 and had an agreed date for fitting in February 2007. The target fitting date was missed by Anglian by one day following a phone call from me asking where the fitters were, as I had taken time off work.
The fitting ...

Don't make the mistake I have made. Not one manager will speak to me and after wasting about 2 years I think court action is now required. My advice is not to use Anglian.

Booked an appointment for 3pm, the rep arrived 3.45pm. He spent 2 hours going on about the quality of the product and how bad everyone elses was, which was fair enough.
All was fine until the salesman turned rather nasty when we informed him that we wouldn't be signing up straight away and would need time to think about it. At first he ignored it and then used the old 'let me phone my manager to see what i can do'trick to get us to sign on the spot. He refused to accept the fact that we wouldn't ...

very dissapointed with installation - fitters didn't notice gaps around windows - extra days of work to deal with surveyors visits/ managers visits when windows did not fit.
Mess left, walls marked and damaged.
Fitters said that our experience was fairly common.

I asked for georgian t bar glass to be fitted to patio doors. This was written on the agreement at the salesmen pitch. Installation team did a great job, but they fitted plain glass this i did not want.
I have contacted anglian windows 20 times for them to correct the order for georgian t bar glass to be fitted. they do not want to know.

1st appointment to give a quote not met. Never showed up. Second appointment, had to go through the whole haggle process where the rep quotes vastly inflated prices from a so called 'price list' only to scribble on a scrappy bit of paper all the 'discounts' he could give me. Lack of clarity in the quoting process is designed to con and confuse. All his calculations were scribbled on a scruffy bit of paper. V.unprofessional. Eventually came down to a reasonable figure which I accepted. Didn't rea ...

My windows have been in and then taken out and then put back in, and now need to come back out again. I have not paid the balance to Anglian Windows yet because of the shambles. My building looks horrendous.
