I regularly shop at the Tesco Heanor branch spending approx.£400 per month . On friday the 11th sept i did my shopping and spent £157.86.when doing my bill the checkout lady made one mistake which she rectified . When i got home i decided to check the bill and found 4 more errors where i had been charged twice.i went back to the store and as there was no one at the customer service desk the lady at the tobacco counter asked me to go to her ,i explained that it was a complaint but she ...- Read Guest's review (266 words)

I've been buying most of my groceries from Tesco Online for over two years now, and the service has mostly been excellent. The website is easy to use, with a range of options for finding and ordering items - browse through categories (like wandering around the shop and looking at what's on the shelves), search for specific items, pull up copies of previous orders and select items from there, or use your favourites list to pick out items you want to order. Since I tend to order many of the same it ...- Read dms's review (421 words)

Having just moved a little too far to carry our shopping home and after the bad experience with Sainsburys home delivery we decided to give Tescos a try.
The website was easy to use, a lot of good offers and delievery times to suit us perfectly.
The delivery turned up on time and that was about all that was good with it. The delivery driver's first words to me were 'We've been trying to call you...' with a grunt. brilliant customer interaction there! As it turns out my card had been refused ...- Read Guest's review (275 words)

The Tesco deliveries themselves were generally ok but the pricing was an issue. I would order things online and the same item would be more expensive on the receipt. Their explanation was that the website prices are only a 'guide'. Now someone please tell me how on earth they are allowed to get away with that?
I switched to a competitor and I told them I would - they didn't care at all. I have had no problems with the competitor.- Read tosca12's review (95 words)

I realise Tesco outsource their Tesco Direct deliveries but it ' s not good enough that Tesco Direct customers get a poorer quality of service than those customers having groceries delivered. I also got the sense from speaking to your customer service staff that you don ' t care if they lose customers as a result of poor service. As someone who has been shopping with Tesco for many years this saddens me.- Read Nuala99's review (104 words)

They do have offers but not as many as in the supermarket. The first time I tried a two-for-one offer I just selected one item and so I didn't get the offer. Yes I know it tells you to order 2 but I missed that bit. I think it should just remind you that there's an offer / free item if you order another one. I think they need to improve the favourites / shopping list bit for the items you buy every week - not very user friendly.
Only one minor problem on one delivery. I called customer services ...- Read jasperw's review (152 words)

I have used them three times. Each time they have been late, with no explanation, no apology. Last night I waited in for four hours and they simply never arrived. I called the helpine five times, each time I was told 'the driver is just around the corner'. I have called four times today, and been told each time 'someone will call you back'. Never heard a thing. I've been charged £100 for shopping that has not arrived yet and I can find no way to claim my money back. Any advice?- Read bigedwards's review (92 words)

I have used tescos for the last four years, and they are still the only supermarket to do deliveries in the rural area where I live. In all that time we have had a delivery roughly every 5 days (I know, but I have a big family ... :)
They are almost always on time (and when there is a problem they have always telephoned to let us know). The drivers are cheerful and helpful. Sometimes there is the odd substitution but they usually provide an alternative, which they will happily take back if yo ...- Read carolinej1's review (158 words)

Expected a delivery on Thursday evening. Grocery order did not arrive. Customer services contacted their driver who said would definately be delivered that night, but couldnt give me a time. Well, waited up till midnight - it wasnt delivered.! No contact from Tesco by 13.00 the next day - I had to call them. Since that time - i still havent received any explanation for non-delivery or for not being telephoned -just the usual 'This happens from time to time'.- Read mbe's review (94 words)

I have had orders from Tesco.com on a number of occasions. When I started receiving home deliveries of groceries, it was the only store providing this service. I now prefer to use the alternative providers.
There are two main problems I have with Tesco.com. The first is that they sometimes advertise guide prices and not actual prices. In some cases the price I am charged can be seemingly up to 50 % higher than that advertised. The only way to spot this is by examining the receipt in detail.

I get all my heavy and bulky items such as water bottles, juices, washing powder, canned goods, cleaning products etc delivered by Tesco once a month. It's very easy to place an order online, there is also an option to view your favourite items to cut down your ordering time.
Deliveries ordinarily are made on time, in fact in the past year Tesco's drivers arrived within booked slot every time.
I had several instances of product spillages and received prompt refund.
I make sure that I go thorough ...- Read Capri75's review (201 words)

Generally not happy. Ordered bottle of gin for £9.00 on offer. They sent substitute for £15.00! Ordered packets of crisps on offer for .75 pence, they substituted crisps in a different flavour for £1.50! Plus bottles of wine much dearer than I ordered. I know you can return them to the driver but I am not always there to take delivery. They advertise these special offers to draw you in. IF they are unable to supply they should give you the substitute at the offer price, like ...- Read Joanne Heywood's review (174 words)

I would recommend Tesco's online grocery service to anyone. The website is a pleasure to use. The delivery is always on time, the drivers are friendly, the items are well-packed and breakables always arrive in one piece. Very rarely do they have to substitute items and what I order is what I receive. Can't recall the last time I had missing items. Can't comment on customer services as I've never had to use them. The only down sides are sometimes with substitutes they replace value for value inst ...- Read Raeyven's review (180 words)

Then i received a phone call saying my shopping would arrive in the next 10 mins, which it did, when i came to check through my list 16 items were missing so i was back on phone they said they would refund me and then deliver next day and then charged me again!- Read Guest's review (91 words)

Brilliant. I get my shopping every month delivered to my doorstep by Tesco. Job done. If there are ever any substitutions made that I don't want I can give them back to my driver. It's only ever happened a few time, but I've always been happy with the alternative so I've never needed to give them back. If there is something you already know you won't want an alternative to then you can state this on your order and they won't try to make a replacement. My order has always arrived within the state ...- Read Tump's review (222 words)

My experience was with tesco leytonstone I don t want to judge wrong all a group because of the incompetence of some people but Tesco Leytonstone is definitely one I will avoid. placed an order that i never received. i waited for 3 days more than what i they told me and I had to call five times a day cause they were never calling back despite saying they will. Finally after 3 days trapped at home waiting for the delivery they told me that my order had been lost and i had to place it again. The w ...- Read Guest's review (123 words)

AWFUL. I've only used Tesco.com three times - and three times I've had terrible experiences.
For my first delivery, I'd ordered a bottle of Champagne for my partner, who had been abroad for a month and was returning the next day. It came with the security tag cap attached, which cannot be removed. When I phoned to complain they kindly told me to "walk to my nearest store" (I don't have a car) - 3 miles away - at 10pm to get it removed! I was promised a £5 e-voucher but never received i ...- Read ladyofthehouse's review (331 words)

Was told they had what I wanted at the time of order but didn't set aside and went out of stock. Didn't tell me for 12 days until the day before delivery was due. Five days before Christmas and too late to go elsewhere. Didn't offer alternative or goodwill gesture. Customer services failed to resolve the problem or answer the questions I asked.- Read returnofthemac's review (69 words)
