Good Points: Nice and light, perfect with a brew.
Bad Points: Not very substantial. Lion Bar lovers will not be impressed. Galaxy are a bit miserly with the portion of caramel crunch supplied.
General comments: This chocolate bar from the Galaxy stable "promises" smooth milk chocolate with caramel crunch on a bed of darker chocolate, apart from the stingy offering of caramel crunch I thought Galaxy have done a reasonable job with this product, a little bit different this chocolate bar is, but it will never in a million years get into my top five as it is simply not substantial enough for me and I believe more value for money products are available at the moment. I favour a StarBar or a Picnic or 2 Topics. A 40g bar provides 12.6g of fat, 22.8 of carbohydrate, 2.4g of protein and 214kcal. The composite of the Promises bar is milk chocolate(80%), dark chocolate(17%) and caramel pieces(2.2%), ingredients include sugar skimmed milk powder, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, milk fat, demineralised whey powder, lactose, emulsifiers, glucose syrup, hydrogenated vegetable fat, vanilla extract, salt and flavourings.
