Whist my fiance was away in Afghanistan we decided to get engeged. He asked me to do all the trawling the shops to look for a ring as he doesnt really like 'girly' shopping. We had been looking before he went away but could not find anything within our budget (£1000) that i actually liked! All i seemed to come accross was the same over priced solitaires and Daisy cluster design (this i did like but it seemed that all the shops had this design and i didnt really think that it was very individual as i had seen it sooo many times), and thought for our budget we would be able to get something very special, and bigger for that matter.
It was actually my mother who suggested to go to Boodles Manchester to see if there was any designs that i liked there. Although far too expensive i agreed to go, whilst i was there i noticed Midas just accross from Boodles and decided to take a look. At the time (July 2009) to my delight there was a sale on 50% off! The ring i chose had been reduced from £2200 to £1100 and was 1.24 ct white gold daisy/flower cluster - but i had not seen this design anywhere else so far.
The design of the ring is acceptional and the diamonds are a very bright white (H) and look stunning, the cut of the diamonds are amazing and constantly sparkle, i am VERY pleased! This is a lot more than i expected to get for our budget!.
The sales man was very helpfull, he allowed me to put £300 down to secure the ring and to pay the rest at the end of the month. He advised me that any time i was in town that i could pop in and they would clean the ring free of charge (this i thought was great!) My whole experience at Midas was great, although a small shop and shop window they have an amazing ammount of rings and i believe more stored within the shop not in the window. I would go back here again and would reccoment this shop to anybody.

I purchased a Pink Sapphire and Diamond Platinum ring from Midas. The gentleman was incredibly helpful, indeed they did not stock what I was looking for and so ordered the stones separately and assembled the ring especially. They worked to my budget - and actually saved me money - I was happy to spend more but with their highly competitive prices it was very difficult. A wonderful service.- Read Guest's review (68 words)

I went to Midas (Manchester) after it was recommended by a friend. At first, I found the sheer volume of stock a little overwhelming, the window display was cluttered and I couldn't really see for looking! The salesman was incredibly helpful though, he pointed me in the right direction without pressuring me to buy anything and helped us to stay in budget by offering us a really good deal. We ended up going back the following day to buy my engagement ring and I couldn't be happier! Really fantast ...- Read Guest's review (92 words)

My husband bought my engagement ring, wedding ring, diamond earrings, diamond necklace and diamond bracelet from Midas. They offer excellent service, and usually when they have a sale on you can pick up something with 50% off. I don't buy from anywhere else. They will also clean you rings etc free of charge.- Read Guest's review (52 words)

My boyfriend bought me some diamond stud earrings from Midas (Manchester) about 2 months ago. They were half price from £950.
They had a good selection, and the sales guy was very friendly. He was very helpful, and he informed me that I'd be welcome to bring the earrings in for free cleaning any time I was passing. He also said he would clean my diamond rings at the same time for free, even though I didn't buy them from him.
Overall, very satisfied.- Read hellywelly7's review (89 words)

When looking for wedding rings we ventured into Midas, thinking that even though we probably couldn't afford anything in the shop, they might have some suggestions. I have very small hands and couldn't find a thin enough wedding band to match my engagement ring that wasn't covered in tiny diamonds and very gaudy.
Much to my surprise, they did have a couple of reasonably priced simpler items. The service was phenomenal, the gentleman helping us made all sorts of recommendations about styles wh ...- Read spook's review (208 words)
