I had a diamond re-set, and was given honest and excellent advice and suggestions re the setting, which was far better than all theother shops I had been in. The price also beat all other quotes. It was made much easier by having the jeweller onsite - all other shops said they would haveto send the item away, which I didn't like the idea of. since then I've had a ring re-sized, and a diamond pendant made. I went into Midas with little/no idea of what I wanted but after spending an hour or so with Chris I had loads of ideas. They then created the rings on a computer so that I could see what they looked like and, once I had decided on a design, they made it for me in their workshop. From the start, really helpful & interested service from the whole staff, allowing us to choose & personalise our rings for our Civil Partnership in a relaxed setting. Like many other people in these reviews we looked at shop after shop for my engagement ring and i found nothing other than cheap tacky rings from high street stores or over priced rings. We ran around Manchester all day and Midas was the last shop we visited. The service, knowledge and friendness is by far the best. I had to have my wedding ring specially designed as my engagement ring is a unique shape that a standard band could not sit against. Far superior quality of jewellery than you would get in any of the chain stores such as Ernest Jones, Beaverbrooks etc. Knowledgeable staff who actulally know what they are talking about. The gentleman was incredibly helpful, indeed they did not stock what I was looking for and so ordered the stones separately and assembled the ring especially. My boyfriend bought me some diamond stud earrings from Midas (Manchester) about 2 months ago. They were half price from £950.
They had a good selection, and the sales guy was very friendly. He was very helpful, and he informed me that I'd be welcome to bring the earrings in for free cleaning any time I was passing. He also said he would clean my diamond rings at the same time for free, even though I didn't buy them from him.
Overall, very satisfied.

When looking for wedding rings we ventured into Midas, thinking that even though we probably couldn't afford anything in the shop, they might have some suggestions.
