For the price the Crosman Nighthawk is a great gun. Dead accurate out to 30 yards. The Mohawk sights (more commonly know as 'battle sights' as per the M1 Garand) are great...the best open sight that has come with any gun I own.
Ahhh...the jamming issue. The pellets need to be tightly seated in the rotary clips. Some pellets work very well with this gun, but some (Gamo for instance) will fall out on their own. The pellets need to be tight or backpressure will force them back and viola...you have a jam.
    Tight pellets...no jam.
The only downside is with the big 88gm cylinders it is very easy to pop off 200 or 300 shots in a short time. But it's a great way to blow 10 bucks.

I bought the Crosman Nightstalker air rifle because I was looking for a semi-auto with a reasonable price and reasonable power. This one knocks it out of the park! I find the trigger more than acceptable; the semi-auto action works very well - and puts a big smile on my face while shooting rapid-fire down range. I have found that loading and unloading the 12 shot mag is becoming easier and easier the more I do it - and does not present a problem - at all! No problems (yet...) with the Air Source ...

The Crosman Nightstalker is Lightweight and very accurate.
This is a very accurate gun, but lacks power, overall its very fun to use and has a wicked look and feel.

I was bearly able to put a scope in between the sights but u could see through the scope becuase the sights covered the cross hairs
if you would want to put a scope i would get "lifters" im sure u could find a good scope at a walmart or academy with a little lift to it
    also the clips
te gun jams alot and lf the pellet gets stuck side ways and u shoot it will break all te springs inside
i had to take mine apart( wouldnt recomend)

The airgun is made by Umarex and imported by Crosman who now will no longer service or take returns on Umarex products. Gun descriptions call out the material as synthetic which is a nice way of saying plastic. Plastics are good in the right applications but the manufacturer chose a thick wall polyethylene which is durable but doesn't hold good tolerances which results in poor operation for moving parts. I've been a die hard Crosman loyalist since I was a kid, but as an adult, it's easy to see t ...

Imagine this: You've just about to rush a new airgun out into the market (because Umarex is almost done with a quality Beretta branded product that looks similar...it ought to, because you tried to copy it...), and you know it has serious jamming problems, so you actually engineered a release to drop the barrel and pull it away from the magazine.

That's what Crosman did with the Nightstalker. Oh, and that release (which you end up using a lot) is made out of soft plastic...gee, thanks.

    Now, I ...

Great look, semi automatic is what makes this thing a beast! You don't hit the bird in one hit, no need to pump or reload, just squeeze again! But the 8 round clip wasn't enough, and it jammed......a lot.

I bought the bare bones version display unit from my local sporting goods at a terrific price. The gun was new but had no box. I got the gun, 4pcs of the 12 round clips, two airsource cylinders and the triggerlock/key for 79 bucks. For that price I am more than happy. The gun is incredibly accurate with the goofy looking open sights. I can hit shatterblast targets from 100 ft every time(almost). As long as you use tight fitting pellets in the clip, the gun will not jam. You have to press them ...

It is an awesome gun for target practising and it hasn't jammed once, i have had it for a year now, but my friends said that theirs jam all the time, i suppose that counts on how well you look after it...

The original design is prone to problems due to the direct injection of liquid CO2 in to the gas control assembly, there is no expancion chamber. So the seals will dry up, srink and leak out CO2 wasting a complete cartrige.
The connector assembly can be turned and miss alighn the port that feeds the pressure of the CO2 to the pellet thus causing poor performance. There are two set screws that keep the assembly in proper alignment if they work loose, when you install the next CO2 cartrige you wi ...

Very disappointed with the performance of this gun. I spent more time fixing jams than shooting. I would gladly give it away but who would want it? It will be in my garbage can Friday morning if anyones interested.

Mine had a bent barrel, on taking apart to correct, i found the co2 transfer component was also broken did necessary repairs including strengthening to underside of transfer component. 3 co2s later some of the coating came off a co2 and jammed the valve seat open had to take apart a gain to remove, got lucky no real damage only a full co2 wasted. Working on a filter to put behind piercer. I now use Walther co2 it has cleaner ends / threads.
Make sure pellets are seated use a pellet seating tool ...

I do not recommend buying this gun! The only way you will kill anything with this is to throw the gun at it, its basically a badly made childs toy. I got one about a month ago and i am still trying to get my money back........ . If you have this gun i feel sorry for you..... take your pellets and throw them, it's more fun.

Had a Crosman Nightstalker for 6 weeks, and out of that 6 weeks it spent 4 weeks with Crosman for repairs. After the first air source the magazine wouldn't index properly so it went back. Also I ordered a Crosman Nightstalker silencer and they sent me one with the wrong barrel fitment, lol.
Accuracy is unbelievably inconsistent so when I got it back to my local gun store (where i purchased it from) I asked them what's wrong with it an they told me that due to firearms laws, you cannot have a se ...

I was very disappointed with the Nightstalker. The constant jamming and difficulty getting the jammed clips out eliminate any pleasure. Power was very low also, could not use this gun for anything but shooting paper. A after market Red dot is needed to shoot the gun comfortably. This was not worth the $100 I paid for it and frankly after shooting it I'd feel guilty selling it to anyone even foe a much lesser price.

My Crosman Nightstalker gun completely breaks down after about the third air source bottle, either the triggered jams up, or you cannot insert the clip, also on about the third air source bottle it begins to leak. On Crosman's web site it shows three places where the Nightstalker can be repaired. I contacted all three of these gentlemen and Crosman has not sent them the schematics to repair the gun. Crosman is more concerned about getting the gun out to the public. Who cares if the gun can be re ...
