Good Points: A light gun which is best for hunting, easy to cock,

    Bad Points: no bad points

General comments: You know what a cynical lot we are here, but we also keep an open mind to new products. This underlever rifle from Gamo has been a bit of a surprise to us for the following reasons.

Full size rifle in a lightweight package.
Plastic composite stock reduces the weight and also reduces the maintenance. Ideal for younger shooters for both these reasons.
The TRU-GLOW fibre optic open sights work really well for fast and easy target acquisition. These sights really do work!
Scope rail for fitting telescopic sight. Optional arrestor block included.
Scooped-out style rotating breach is easy to load.
Safety catch located in front of trigger for quick and easy operation.
It is almost full power. Yes really. We tested it and average power was 11.2ft lbs.

All in all, we think the Gamo CFX 16 lightweight, easy to use and maintain rifle is ideal as a beginner or pre-adult plinker, and even a close range small vermin dispatcher.
