i used it 1.5 year right now i didnt have any probs (exepct redirecting the scope now and then)i sometimes use it to hunt weasels (they are considired as pests in my country)one shot and it is down!I highly recommend this air rifle for those who are not willing to spend a lot of money.its quite cheap, and very, accurate and, super powerful it can take down from mouse to fox (if you hit it in the heart or head) … Read Full Review

This air rifle is truely amazing for the price and is very powerful. i was recommended this by my local gunsmith as the rifle I had hoped for was out of stock (stoeger x20 suppressor) but I was not disappointed in his choice. The Gamo is 4lb lighter than the stoeger even with the scope attached. The grip is nice and the iron sights are great. This rifle is very powerful and is great for hunting and target practise… Read Full Review

Highly accurate and repeatable. Amazing considering the sizable recoil. Put my .22 through the chrono and it delivered a sizzling muzzle velocity of 880fps with Prometheus 8.62 grain pellets with a K.E value of 14.83! Gamo Expanders weighing 15.09 grain pulled 661fps with a K.E 14.64 foot pounds. On the heavier end of the scale TS-19's weighing 18.32 grains pulled 587fps with a K.E of 14.02 foot pounds. Very powerful rifle, accurate with all ammo types I've tried provided you adjust your scope… Read Full Review

Had my viper max about a week now. Was looking for a pcp but my local gunsmith recommended this. I am very glad he did. Beautifully balanced and easy to shoot next to no noise in the field. Bit weighty to carry round but a set of swivels and a sling and I'm well away.
zeroed to 35 metres in minutes probably thanks to good scope i got as part of deal from John Forsey's (seriously go there)so off I went with a friend into the field. THIS GUN IS ADDICTIVE. So far all I have done for a week is… Read Full Review

Great gun had for about a year no probs no jams no rust sat out in rain meany times very durable droped the gun in the ground muzzle first, on stone and no damage. My 2 air rifle as soon as i shot this gamo viper max felt extream power also shot so meny rabbits and pigeons, squirrels estra. The best killing range (i would say) for this gun is about a maximum of 25 to 30 yards but it can go lots futher if you have extream skill. I would highly recomend this gun its a true work horse and keeps… Read Full Review

The Gamo Viper Max
Well yesterday I finally decided to buy a new springer and I realy fancied the Gamo rage of rifles as some of them had synthetic stocks which for me was brilliant as I am generally out in all weather so very little care was required of the stock.
After deciding on the Viper Max I was well pleased when the following day I received a phone call from the shop telling me that my gun had arrived. I duly collected it and decided to check power output straight out of the box. My… Read Full Review

The gold trigger is nice to grip and I agree with the other reviewers that the pull is quite long, but as its a two stage its fine. You will be fine with it.
The moderator makes it comfortable to cock, as a 6ft athletic guy its no struggle, however my misses found it quite hard.
The fibre optics are superb on the sights. You have a U shape in green and a long orange stripe at the front.
The rears are fully adjustable and can be very accurately narrowed in.
Obviously you can fit a scope… Read Full Review

I bought this rifle (.22) to replace my Mk1 Vulcan (.22) which I have had since I was 16 ( I'm now 40 ). I was impressed with the way the rifle handles, the trigger is good (a little long in the draw from 1st stage to 2nd but you get used to it) and the manual safety catch is easy to operate. I can get a 1 inch grouping with open sights and with a scope at 20 meters with no problem. It is very light rifle to use and comes to the shoulder perfect it's like you don't have to really try to hit the… Read Full Review
