Good Points: Ease of preparation. Good multi-buy offers are readily available. Nice packaging.
Bad Points: I much prefer the egg-fried rice from the Chinese on Croft Avenue in the Boro, near my dad's, gorgeous. Uncle Ben's rice can be a bit bland served on its own, it really needs adding to a stir fry or something.
General comments: The Uncle Ben's insignia of an elderly African-American man dressed in a bow-tie is synonymous with quality "parboiled" rice, the brand was first marketed in the U.S back in 1943 and has enjoyed the status of being a market leader for many decades now. I would recommend the Express range of rices to anyone, the Egg Fried variety is well tasty and the ease of preparation means that the product can be enjoyed by the whole family at any time really. Well done Uncle Ben's, your rice is delicious and will continue to be consumed by me and my family.
