    Good Points: In a good position close to the town of Alvor and the beach. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, well equipped, spacious Apartments. Huge pool set in lovely surroundings.


    Bad Points: Some rooms are affected by noise - the room we were allocated seemed really quiet at first, above a shop that closed before 6p.m but it seemed to be the gathering place for groups of children who met in the evening/night, who ran around, kicked balls and had a loud time without their parents into the early hours! To be honest though this is the only bad point I can think of during the whole holiday!


    General comments: A fantastic holiday was had by my whole family(nine of us altogether). We loved the resort of Alvor and the Dunas Do Alvor Apartments. The apartments are very spacious and set in attractive gardens and surroundings with a huge pool. The staff are all friendly and helpful, speaking good english. There are lots of bars and cafes to chose from in the complex and an abundance of these in Alvor itself which is only a pleasant stroll away. There is a huge choice of bars and resturants in Alvor with something for everyone - with fish and prawns being a speciality. The beaches are breath-taking and well worth a visit. I would recommend a day at Zoo marine. It's suitable for all the family and very well organised. We went to Lagos for the day, on the bus - it's a beautiful place, very similar to Alvor - bigger, but retaining it's charm. If you travel by bus to other Resorts you need to purchase a ticket from the ticket office in Alvor before you get on the bus. I would reccommend Portugal, Alvor and the Dunas Do Alvor Apartments to anyone. We never go to the same place twice but in this case we've made an exception! We've already booked up to return next year!
