If you have a problem with Littlewoods that requires sorting then I would suggest that you do not use their call centre as since joining the Shopping Direct Group the people there are totally useless in dealing with a problem as is enquiries@littlewood.com as each email is dealt by a different person even if you mark it for the attention of the person who first answered you query. “Take too long to credit account”

Account opened to purchase holiday clothes for family, knowing I can pay off in instalments makes it easier financially, however my gripe is that they take far too long to credit account with returned items. My limit is 500, which I had almost reached with previous orders, but I know that I've returned over £250 worth of items nearly 3 weeks ago, yet still to be credited, and unable to order anything else! We usually advise to allow 14 days from the date of return for items to be credited from your account. This is increased to 21 days for electrical or furniture items as these may require more in-depth inspection in our Returns Centre.

If you have returned items to us over 14 days ago that have not yet been credited from your account then you can contact us at Help@littlewoods.co.uk and we can look into this for you. Please enclose details of the Returns Receipt you would have been given when returning the parcel.

“poor delivery service”

Dont think this company knows what its doing...when people order stuff they want the goods. But not this company they make you wait for a month or more. I orderd a tv and 2 weeks later still nothing. Ordered a wardrobe and its out of stock and 3 weeks later nothing still. Rubbish usless company, my advise would be if you want your stuff in the first week go else where. “No rewards for reduced items.”

I have been a Littlewoods customer for over 30 years. But not for much longer. I ordered several Christmas presents (2012) and have received no awards. I asked via email why this is so and was sent a template reply stating that the payments have been for reduced or sale items. This applies to items that have been reduced by as little as 50p. “14 years of great service until now!”

ive been a littlewoods customer for 14 years and never had a problem till now, I ordered an item on but now pay later in 2010 which I have quite a few times and still have now, that is till now when I found out ive been charged £350 for the £180 item I had on bnpl in 2010 which I had paid off before the year was up but am being told I didn't and have been paying it off for the last 2 yrs with out knowing, I aslo have to prove it to them I did pay it off which at the moment I don't know how... We do advise that all payments towards your BNPL account must be targeted to the item otherwise it would be applied to your regular shopping account. I ordered buy now pay later, Dec 2012 statement said interest of £132.00 interest had been charged to my account, but could still avoid if I paid £170.00 by the 14th Dec, so paid £170.00 on 10th Dec, it is now nearly March and am being sent threat letters for the £132.00 plus charges. “Buy now pay later mess up!”

I recently bought an item from littlewoods and chose the buy now pay later option. By chance I looked at my transaction history a few days later only to see that the buy now pay later option was nowhere to be seen. So I emailed you to find out if it was put on or not and I had an email back saying that I couldn't claim buy now pay later. “Shambolic, incompetent and disgrace”

Ordered two items online, the option of collect+ was shown on delivery choice screen, chose the option and placed order. Items should not have had option for collect+, apparently, because come from supplier direct. But their website gave me that option, why I chose it. So they've added the amounts to my account, the store has received the items. My account says delivered to customer. “Charged debit card and no purchase”

I have just found out today my debit card has been charged twice for a transaction and i have no purchase. I called Littlewoods ireland, and they were useless, saying they didnt have the info at hand. I am left with €5 in my account and 3 kids to feed and i want my euros put back into my bank account. If the funds were received twice then we can arrange a refund back to your card which is normally received within 10 days.

However, it is more likely that the first payment was not taken and is instead held by your bank as a pending payment. This will not be taken by our bank and will instead be re-allocated to your account within a timescale that is dependent on your bank.

“Don't try to complain - they don't care”

Goods ordered and upgraded delivery made for a 7am to 12 delivery slot. When nothing arrived called 'customer service' to be told that they had no idea of where parcel was and it could arrive in the next few days. 6 hours later, 9 call agents and three managers later told I will need to write in to complain as they can't deal with complaints on the phone. “This is probably the worst place to shop”

I recently bought a laptop from little woods. I paid £489.99 for it and there are so many applications ont the laptop doesn't work properly so I called them to complain but I was told that I have to contact the manufacturer . When I called the manufacturer I was told to call Microsoft for that it costed me more than £25 on the phone after talking to all parties and the problems are still there. We would like to advise that our standard payment terms (i.e over 20 or 52 weeks) are interest free. The longer payment terms (such as 104 or 156 weeks) or items ordered over Buy Now Pay Later are interest bearing but the terms are fully explained during the order process both online and over the phone.
The payment terms, and any interest charged, will also both be displayed on your statement.

The catergories are easy to browse and find the ideal gift. It also helps spread the payment across a set time period. With you being a Littlewoods Ireland customer we do not currently offer a collection service as yet in Ireland so returns do have to be made via the Post Office. We will reimburse any costs incurred and these will normally be applied as a credit to your account. However if the refund leaves your account balance in credit (or if you shopped with us on a cash-only basis) then the refund will be sent out to you as a cheque.

With regards to your order, we do apologise for the wrong cushions being sent out. As these were part of a set they may have been mis-packed at our suppliers before they were despatched to you. I will not be ordering from Littlewoods again, I got the most ignorant reply to an email which I sent about late deliveries. A team manager then rang me this morning, I explained why I was unhappy & asked for a gesture of goodwill on Littlewoods part for all the hassle, he informed me that they do not offer compensation for late deliveries. Now what about a return I have been waiting to return TV for the past 2 months every day we get a call asking is the TV picked up by yodel or someone and we say no .. they apologies and say this will be done in a day and managers are dealing with this and also a manager from yodel but no chance the managers are dealing with just 1 return for 2 months now ...... I do understand if the delivery dates are changed due to unavoidable circumstances then what about return ......... 2 months I have been trying to talk with one competent manager and they never talk not even bother and poor advisers are kept at front to bear all the anger ....... Its so annoying and stress when you speak with them and they go on giving dates after dates and we even said we will wait home for them for 3 weekends in a row to get rid this parcel and what happens ... nothing so Do I get compensation or goodwill for this issue ...........

Littlewoods would do well to learn the difference between compensation (which btw I never asked for, it is Littlewoods who keep mentioning that word) & goodwill.

GOODWILL:

We ordered some cupboards, a whole set. They delivered the wrong cupboards 3 times! When they did deliver the right products they then delivered another set of cupboards which we now after several callss waiting for them to pick the up. Now if this was a small item I could have tucked them underneath somewhere where it will cause no obstruction to the kids. “Avoid - terrible couriers....”

Failed deliveries, Failed return collections. Catalouge items themselves great but if you need to return item the couriers (in my instance YODEL) were awful, FAILED TO COLLECT ON ARRANGED DAY, made it very inconvenient to return items, had to make phone calls (x2) to rearrange, had to leave items with neighbours as at work when on day arranged for second attempt at collection. The Furniture Ombudsman regulates the inspection companies, which include Ecomaster, Homeserve and Servico, who all do work for major retailers in the UK.

I have, in the past been part of an independent team who reviewed and investigated these 3 companies and others and found that, contrary to your beliefs, they all offer a completely independent report on the public's furniture and, furthermore to that, the majority of cases are found to be manufacturing faults.

I don't usually comment but I fell people need to know that these companies are regulated and simply could not get away with being bias towards the retailer.

However, they lose your payments frequently and then treat you like a criminal despite proof that you made the payment through the bank on time. I've always had excellent customer service, if I've bought an item and it's gone on sale before it is delivered, they have refunded me the difference and given it at sale price.
