“Debenhams refusing to refund for faulty sofa.”

“Personal shopper experience in Southampton store”

I arranged to have a personal shopper in debenhams Southampton for my daughters graduation. She was very friendly, polite and informative and matched a dress to suit my needs perfectly matching it with shoes and bag I had already purchased. I was made to feel very special by herself and manager from the minute I arrived. I can't thank you both enough and also the young lady in makeup who even matched a lipstick to go with my outfit. “Bad experience at debenhams bra fitting service ”

Took my 14 year old daughter to get fitted for a bra, am extremely annoyed with the sales assistants attitude, she was argumentative and gave unnecessary opinions, one which really distressed my daughter was:"has anyone ever told you that you have one breast bigger than the other?"which wasn't the case but to say that to a young girl,my child infuriated me, then questioned me when I said I didn't want under wired bra as I felt my daughter was too young, I found the whole experience very… Read Full Review

“Debenhams do not assemble beds”

Bought a Willis & Gambier bed from Debenhams. It was damaged, probably when it left the factory. Had to glue it together and then assemble the bed myself because the delivery company refused to do it. As this was contrary to the terms of the purchase, Debenhams offered 10% discount. Under protest this was improved to 11%. But they would not have bothered if I had not hassled them. It took a week of phoning them to get this result… Read Full Review

visited Debenhams Trafford Center Manchester on 26th Jan 2016 we visited quite a few sales point where staff were chatting and not bother with customers who were browsing no interaction at all. When we did finaly purchase a ring it was just wrapped in a small tissue and given to me with my reciept. then they got back chatting i asked for it to be wrapped in something better and was past a plastic money bag a joke. “Lost delivery, refused to resend & no offer of...”

They refused to resend a replacement for losing my order in the delivery process. Was not offered any compensation for this failure of service. On top of this the communication was robotic and disinterested. A decent remedy would have been to refund and resend but they couldn't care less. “Will NEVER shop with Debenhams again!”

What has happened to this once amazing department store? To cut a very long story short, made two huge and very expensive orders for lots of family members whom I'm making a trip down to London to visit today, one order included 4 winter coats for nephews and nieces. I purchased a pair of J by Jasper Conran Brogues for £42.50 on offer. After 18 days wear the heels had worn through and nails were coming through the inside of the shoes.I decided to return the shoes and downloaded a returns form andput in a covering letter explaining the faults and why I was returning.Two weeks later I received the shoes back saying they were not in a resaleble condition, which I knew so they would not accept them as a return. “FURDECK delivery company used by Debenhams - shocking”

Delivery should have been six to eight weeks but we received a telephone call early and as we were due to go on holiday we were unavailable. “Hopeless, Useless and Awful!”

Ordered 6 items from Debenhams online, value over £30 for free home delivery. All items in stock according to website and had a confirmation email. Then 2 items cancelled in another email as 'out of stock'. One item despatched and arrived with barely a note on the tracking on my account which does not link to the courier Hermes. “Worst service ever!!!!”

First of all when you order anything online and pay, they will come back and say they have cancelled the order. This is happened several times. They get away with it legally as it is an invitation to treat. WHY DON'T THEY JUST SAY BEFORE ORDERING ITS OUT OF STOCK, ITS NOT THAT HARD!!!. After waiting couple weeks for the order to arrive only half the product arrives this wasnt too bad as it was an international order (item was a pyjamas SET I ordered as a gift). “Furdeco - rude, aggressive, disrespectful”

furdeco delivered my Debenhams order. Three men arrived. The main man was aggressive in his nature. Argued about access into my home. Then two of them hurriedly tore at the packaging after demanding a knife or scissors from me. They pushed the furniture across my wooden floor showing NO respect therefore I now have deep scrapes and marks which I have had to work on. If they have damaged your floor you should get them to repair or replace it.
Same happened to me and I eventually got a new floor but returned the delivered item on principle.

Have ordered 2 T shirts for click and collect - Not available - on line delivery free only. Sounds like a great deal. 10 days ago they took my money with a 4-5 day (already sub standard delivery terms compared to the rest of the high st) delivery lead time. Still waiting as customer services say it takes them 3 days from my call to get a reply from the agent, in this case Regatta.
