Terrible, terrible, terrible!!! I ordered two pairs of shoes from Debenhams online, I recieved them within two days... Great i thought. None of the shoes fitted so I sent both pairs back in ONE parcel. The same ONE parcel they arrived in. Within a few days I received my refund... For one pair of shoes. “Terrible service and very unhelpful customer service . ”

I ordered three items online and only two arrived, so rang customer service to be told nine days later item was cancelled and was out of stock when ordered. No email was sent and the help line was very unhelpful. Will never use this service again and feel very disappointed with debenhams,will stick with John Lewis or Marks and Spencer in future. I cannot fault the product I bought but the Debenhams customer service is quite frankly ridiculous. My order wasn't received even a week after placing it. On calling customer service I was twice told someone would call back in 24 hours after checking what had happened. No one did so I called a third time on which I was told it would be 72 hours which as it was now Saturday wouldn't be till the following Wednesday. A whole 2 weeks after placing the order. Tried to order online a clarins duo cleanser and toner. Was unable to put in correct delivery details, kept reverting back to incorrect ones! Hence I phoned the 0844 and spent 28 minutes trying to place the order. Straight after doing so, had to cancel the order as lady had not entered code for free delivery, (as had stated). “How do you get online to see your account.”

Have been able to get into my account online about Three times in the last two months.Have contacted Customer Services at least EIGHT times which has cost me over £15 in phone calls to this 0844 or what ever it is number. When I did get through they changed my Password, every time it worked about twice but am still unable to log into my account again now. I ordered 3 pairs of boxer shorts on line, waited over a week, when they finally arrived in store the boxes were damaged. This is not the worse part, I have emailed and each time I receive an automatic response followed by an email 4 days later, saying how sorry they are! “Tantamount to Theft”

The other three I am in the process of chasing refunds for, and this process involves being fobbed off by email by different members of the customer services team every three or four days. I placed an order last week Friday, and got my confirmation that I would get it in 4-5 working days, I ordered three items, got two in three days but the last one took over 5 days which is a disappointment as it was a xmas present,so I have to go in the store to purchase it instead, what a let down as it came from a different warehouse, so the moral of the story is best to just buy instore instead of using their online service, not impressed!!! After look on on-line help tried to chat to a member of Debenham's customer service on-line, but was told service was not working. Customer Card Services gives Debenhams a bad name. After going through the automated service to finally reach a Customer Service Off-shore call centre I was cut off without getting the issue resolved. Had to go through the process again with no satisfaction. Was advised to go back to the Debenhams Customer Support. Now I'm hunting around the website looking for the appropriate number. Ordered a £1700 laptop on Thursday and paid extra for a specified delivery date (in this case Saturday). Waited in all day Saturday and the item not delivered. Took two phone calls on Monday morning to establish that there had been a problem with the supplier and I could either choose a new delivery date or cancel the order. On Monday i found an email stating the order had been cancelled due to the data inputted not matching my card details. I called up Amex to ensure there's nothing wrong with my card. “100% failure - do not use.”

Only used online service twice and did not receive purchases twice so I would recommend to avoid at all costs. 1.At Christmas items I ordered were not delivered, I received no communication from debenhams or courier. Order placed 3 weeks prior to Christmas and 4 days before Christmas I called to find out when I would get the items. Parcels were supposedly damaged and returned to them via the courier and I would not be receiving them. My children went without some presents as it was too late... (read more)
