    i shop in debenhams, stirling and find that i often get great bargains. i eat in the restaurant and have taken family and friends there. the food is great and i get a 20% discount by using my debenhams card. i have already bought clothes in the sale for my grandchildrens christmas. i always go to debenhams first when shoppping as i can almost always get what i am looking for from there. i ALWAYS find the staff courteous and more than willing to help. i am not related to any of the staff there and have never worked there so my opinion isnt biased.

    I purchased my handbag in store at Stratford upon Avon. I found staff helpful and friendly and very polite. I enjoy shopping at Debenhams. I have purchased on line in the past and found the same good fast efficient service. I have shopped at Debenhams in different towns over many years and have never encountered any problems. Before purchasing in store I checked the website to see what would be available and was confident that they would have exactly what I wanted and was not disappointed.

    Debenhams can be cheap at times (but you get what you pay for)
    I did 3 online shops with Debenhams and they all went wrong. Their costumer service department is no help to me at all. I have written a complaint letter 5 months ago and they have not even bothered to reply. They lost me as a customer.

    When an account holder has a query about their account an 0871 number has to be used - at a cost of 10p per minute and usually waiting for at least 5 minutes to get through. Why. Why not an 0845 number as most other stores/services use.

    Well, ordering products online from Debenhams seems to be over (for now, anyway). Just received an Order Cancellation email, as have hundreds of others who've ordered from Debenhams online in the past week! Take note, Ladies and Gentlemen, this could be the 1st sign of a Debenhams collapse!

    I am very disappointed with Debenhams online. Ordered a large electrical item which I immediately realised was the wrong one. Cancelled straight away with the plan to re-order the correct model. I have since been unable to amend or cancel my order. Have now emailed 3 times and even quoted the DSR's but cannot stop the order as it is being delivered despite my letters of cancellation.     I bought a links bracelet for my girl friend's birthday online that said in stock on the web site. I got a confirmation email and thought that was that.Two days from the big day still no show so I check my email, a week later they had sent me an update saying one of the items was out of stock.     I ordered a bikini from www.debenhams.co.uk on monday night needing it by today (thursday) desperately as I am flying out tonight late. I read that the orders were up to 5 days delivery which would have been too late but often I am surprised by quicker deliveries than promised from sites such as asos.com and other fashion sites.     Very disappointed with on line shopping. Love the store but thought I'd try on line but won't bother again. Money debited from account day after order but over 2 weeks and still no sign of 5 day order!

    I am very disappointed by the customers service at Debenhams. I ordered a bag on the 4th f October, and the money was taken from my account on the 8th of October, and I got confirmation of dispatch by email on the 8th of October, but the bag has still not arrived. Today (21st October) I called them to check the order status, and they told me that they have refunded the money as they can't find what happened to the bag. I would never have known this if I had not called them.

    I praise whenever I can, and I really do try to find positives with situations, since it's all too easy to denigrate (I have even mailed Debenhams themselves to thank them on a separate matter), but I honestly can not speak lowly enough of their website...

    Debenhams, if you're listening, you've already lost revenue from me. It may not amount to much, but it's clearly not just me that feels this way.

    The website crashes constantly during the sale, so you quite often cannot get on it in the first place. And once you do, more frustratingly, it will crash half way through an order.

    Their online store can be great value, but I would not use if time or availability is critical.

    The Debenhams online department store allows you to order goods that are out of stock. The notification they are out of stock is a bit random - from few hours later by automated email, to weeks later by automated email, through to the delivery note for other parts of the order.

    I have to agree with everyone else's comments on these reviews. I tried to order several items of clothing from Debenhams, but almost all of them were out of stock. After trying several options, it became clear that some items were not available in any size or colour option. If they don't have an item in stock, it shouldn't be advertised, it's just a waste of my time.

    I was trying to purchase a couple of items online from Debenhams, but I have given up. I have tried for over two hours, but the performance of the website is so poor, I have almost lost the will to live, and it is not a Blue Cross day, sale day etc. What is going on? I wonder how much business is lost on a daily basis due to performance issues with this website?

    I was very disappointed recently, having purchased several items through the Debenhams website for my nieces 9th birthday.

    I ordered the items 7 days before her birthday on the Sunday evening. I didn't receive a confirmation until Monday afternoon, and this was just an order number, no confirmation of the actual goods, or delivery date, etc.

    At sale time the Debenhams website seems to 'shut-down' and cannot deal with the overload. I appreciate when the sales are on it's often difficult to access the site, but I feel that nearly 2 days later is somewhat excessive (especially when I didn't require sale items, just an item I'd seen and required as a gift), I therefore took my £200 order elsewhere. Very disappointing for a major store website. I feel it is very poor.

    I shopped online for christmas presents this year and was disappointed in Debenham's performance. I had ordered a gift and wasn't informed that they were unable to provide this product within a specific time i.e >2 weeks.
