    General comments: This Volkswagen Golf GTI 147KW is one great car! Any young or young-at-heart driver looking for performance and looks can definitely look at the 147KW Golf GTI. I regularly get the opportunity to take one on a test track, and so I get to do the "not-so-day-to-day" things with it. The performance is awesome, the handling actually better than one would expect, and the safety of the car is right there at the top. It's not difficult to feel in control in this car. The safety features, such as ABS and ESP do their job very well, even with a fully laden car.
    If one had to try to complain, probably the only item would be the fuel consumption. But then again, that's when taking into consideration that the car was being driven hard. What can be expected? It's almost difficult to drive slowly / carefully with this car, as one has a feeling of being fast even at meagre speeds, and the right foot just wants to drop closer to the floorboard. Actually, when driven with a light foot, one can get very decent consumption figures.
    The interior space & comfort are accentuated by the wonderfully positive leather seats.
    The pedals are well designed, and even in the harshest of manoeuvres, my feet remain easily on the correct pedals where they belong. The steering wheel is very positive, both in feel (input and feedback), as well as grip position.
