Considering this is the first title in a series this is an excellent game. The controls are very simple to operate and the badge system is a great idea. In comparison to the other two Paper Mario games so far I would say it comes 2nd in rating, it's better than Super Paper Mario by quite a large margin mainly due to the fact that the conversation's aren't dull and boring - they are actually quite entertaining. I recommend that you try it, just don't expect it to be as good as the other Paper Mario games. I'd have to say for the first of it's series it is really good though. (read more)

Personally, I was really disappointed with the Paper Mario Nintendo 64 game. Although the graphics are deliberately 'old school', they made the game just a little less fun to play. Compared to SuperMario and Mario Sunshine etc., it seemed like you were playing a really old fashioned game. If you like a good ol' Mario game, then this is OK. It is quite long, and plays largely the same way as all the others. But for me, I didn't care whether I completed it or not, which I have never got with a... (read more)
