I've been using this site for three years without a single problem. What is best about it is that it actually stores the MP3s you purchase for future re-download, so you can store them on multiple computers if needed. As another reviewer pointed out, there is a quality disparity between songs and the volumes aren't consistent. You can download the same song in varying qualities. I only know of this site because a charge for it showed up on my credit card... not exactly sure how, but I suspect it is somehow related to some recent unrelated transactions. At any rate, if you can't see past this scam, you are a fool. Have you never heard that if a deal is too good to be true, it probably is? Good site. Some songs have different volume levels so a volume adjustment is sometimes necessary. I like the variety of audio books and music as well. I have also requested music that they obviously sourced and downloaded for my purchase, kudos. As far as price and piracy, I cant remember the last time Puff Diddy dropped me a dime to play his sounds on my public airwaves. I've had no problems whatsoever. I've used my bankcard for my transactions every time. There is no scam. This is a legit site. Don't let those fear mongers scare you out of a good deal. The real thief is iTunes with their ridiculous prices for music that isn't really yours anyway. And the whole pirating term is an inaccurate description as it is. I knew of these websites for some time but never thought to cross their paths. All I knew is these companies (often based in Russia) would simply sell on downloaded or leached files at a fraction of the cost. Q: WHY ARE THEY SO CHEAP? I was able to use a credit card (gift card) with no problem. I have downloaded hundreds of songs without too much trouble - on occasion the downloader would mess up and I needed to uninstall and reinstall. Other than that, it has worked well.

This is not a scam. I don't know what you've done wrong but if I were iffy about a company, why did you give them $400 bucks out of the blue. that sounds too good to be true. This company uses my bankcard and I've never had a problem. I purchase my music in $25 dollar increments.

Never had any problem with payments. They have most music I have ever searched for so now I have most of the albums I used to have on CD but lost.
At 9c per track you can buy as much as you like without worrying about wasting your money on the odd album you end up not listening to.
The software is easy to use and works seamlessly.

This site is a scam - every time I order tracks the site takes my money and then it all goes into some kind of fault which cannot be rectified without waiting a few days until it seems to have sorted itself out, this is a pain in the ass when I am trying to use the system and have paid my money, and it has happened dozens of times, the problem always seems to happen just after I have paid credit to the account, and a number of orders are paid for but I never get the goods - the site is very... i love it. been using it for all my music since 2007. spent over £200 - thats a lot of music! i frequently have most of the music in the charts. the music is very good quality, i find music downloaded via other software can be bad in quality, but this is cd quality, no high bass, too much treble, etc.... very good value means i have a lot of music, and music that i would never of bought back in the day....

Fairly easy site to use. I have no problems with error messages or anything like that. Their downloader resumes from the point it left off if there has been a problem. UK credit card payments are back on again, so no problems there.

It's very cheap and has a lot music I haven't been able to find on other sites as far as I am aware. It's the most frustrating site to navigate however in my experience and opinion. I'm constantly receiving error messages and if it does take me to the page I want, it's painfully slow as far as I am concerned.
I needed way too much patience for this site to be worth my while, therefore I do not recommend Legal Sounds.

Bit rate is all over the place in my experience. The same album can have songs ranging from 128 to 256 and everywhere in between. That is, if you don't keep getting the error messages that prevent you from downloading whatsoever. This site may be cheap, but I'm personally willing to abandon the $50 I put into it just to save myself the frustration this site is causing personally. But, I've used LegalSounds for almost a year and mostly I've grown frustrated with the service. I have used Legal Sounds for the last 8 months, and I am very impressed. Songs are .09, allowing you to buy an entire album for less than an iTunes song. It is very easy to get around with the Legal Sounds Downloader. They have many artists that iTunes does not have, and they have albums that iTunes doesn't have for many artists. I'm with you on this. I'm disappointed that after downloading hundreds of songs, I am now forced to use a "paysafecard". I never heard of this card, and I don't know who's selling this card.
I may have to use another site, but this one has worked very well for me in the past.
