I have used a number of these rifles since 1981 and have always been satisfied with them. They are accurate enough to hit the rim of a .22 shell at 25 yards every time. The triggers on the older ones (pre 1980) can be adjusted down to about two and half pounds. The trigger design is a copy of the old Winchester Model 70 and is extremely crisp. The iron sights are easy to use and very precise. As a bonus, the rifles are so well balanced that you can remove and reattach a scope repeatedly wit ...

This represents my first and favorite rifle in my collection, it is amazingly accurate with almost all the ammo ive fed it on, with the exception of long Z's.
I have taken countless rabbits and foxs using powerpoints and even shot a top not pidgeon at 157 paces, which is a long way for a little .22lr.
I would recomend this rifle to everyone, and believe there should be one in every australian home because they make plinking so much fun!!

In Australia, all most every gun safe you will ever come across has a Brno model 2 in it. No wonder this more modern remake of the classic brno is my very favorite gun. It has beautiful European looks to it, the Mauser style action is silky smooth, and the accuracy is breath taking. I learnt to shoot on this rifle from when i was about 12, and I'm yet to find a better deal for your money. I love the bolt action even if we could get semi autos in Australia (we can't) i wouldn't give it up for one ...

My family really likes utilising this rifle. I only have one rimfire rifle and this is it due to its handling, accuracy and ruggedness. I generally use Bushman and Powerpoints for shooting rabbits and foxes with no problems. I have used Winchester Subsonic, Quik-Shok and Velocitors also with excellent results. I have the 5 and 10 round magazine. I have not experienced any feeding problems to-date. My friends are also keen CZ users as a result of using this rifle.

I had my CZ BRNO 452's barrel shortened to 14'' and re-threaded, which has made it easier to use from a vehicle with the moderator fitted. It also feels better balanced. I fitted an Eric Brooks trigger kit, which totally transformed the rifle. I've accounted for plenty of crows, rooks, wood pigeons, rabbits, squirrels & the odd fox, using this rifle and Winchester sub-sonic ammo. I had a problem with misfires, which turned out to be crud in the firing-pin hole. A quick blast from an aerosol clea ...
