    Too bad I can't give them a negative rating (i.e, negative amount of stars). That's what they deserve. They dismiss their customers' issues with canned comments like "that's our policy" with total disregard to expceptions that should be made when the situation calls for it. I almost am sure after reading all the reviews and experiencing very similar bad behavior by the store, that they are trained to be nasty to their customers with problems. I bought three pairs of similar boots, letting them know that I would like to take them home to see which looked best with the clothes that I wanted to match. Well, I called to make sure I was still within the what I had thought was a 2 week return policy. While calling, I saw the reciept said 10 days. As I spoke to the sales girl, I discovered this. When we counted the days together on the phone, we realized that I was at day 11. She said, I should bring them in and she was sure that it would be okay. So the next day I brought them in, and the asst manager, refused to give me a refund. Her reasoning was that the manager was the one who helped me and she remembered that she had told me the policy, and specifically told the asst manager not to grant me the refund. So because of this she said there was nothing to do for me. I asked to speak with customer service (2 calls-- no returned calls). Then I called another cathy jeans store to see if they could help me get in touch with someone (anyone reasonable) who could help me. I was told that she would speak to the regional manager and that she would call me. A week went by and no call, so I called again. She again told me she would try to get to the regional manager again. No call back. So, finally today I called the 2nd store one more time and got a different employee who asked to she could help. So I explained the story and she said, she was going to have a higher up person call me back, and that it was inexcusable that no one has called me back. Well the higher up never called. But she called and basically said that she had called the store where I bought them and was told that since the manager told me the policy when I bought the shoes they again were refusing to give me my refund. So basically back to the place I started without ever being able to talk to someone above the people in the stores, and perhaps someone who might be more reasonable in their making an exception to the policy. Ideally, I would have expected them to give me a refund, and then perhaps a reminder saying that next time, you must make sure to be within the 10 days. I have never ever been refused a reasonable request especially when asked for in respectful way. I seriously think they have been trained to be unhelpful to their customers with issues with them.

    Ok first of all, I worked for Cathy Jean. They are extremely immature employers. They do not know how to handle employees, schedule, or fairness and equality in the work place. I like the shoes, but working there was a night mare.

    Horrible customer service from Cathy Jean Shoes, Linda at Corporate and Diane the Mgr at Sherman Oaks are the worse. They have the worst return/exchange policy. Do not buy from Cathy Jean shoes online or in the store. They state on the their website that you can return shoes purchased online at a store for exchange or store credit only, but when you get to to the store you find out that if they don't carry that shoe you can't return it their, I argued with the Mgr Diane and explained that is ...

    Poor customer service, poor quality, poor store! I have tried twice to buy from Cathy Jean Shoes in the store and on line and both experiences were a nightmare. This store has a long way to go in customer service and quality. I tried twice to buy from them a third time would just be foolish.

    I am a big fan of Cathy Jean shoes, they are light and comfortable and trendy. I've owned their shoes for years and has never experienced any poor quality.

    This is my second time purchasing a pair of shoes that were very cute but after wearing them for 3 months have cracks and a split across the bottom of the shoe. I did shop from in Cathy's Jeans store prior to 2006. I purchased a pair of shoes and the strap broke. Same thing happened to me.     First, the product is poorly made in my opinion and high-priced. Second, they give you just 10 days to return the shoes for a refund, which is not a lot of time. Here's what happened to me. One pair of shoes squeaked. I didn't hear that in the store because they play the music loud. The other pair has rickety heels that will cause a sprained ankle.     I purchased shoes at a Cathy Jean store and realized I had a very similar pair at home, so I exchanged them. The new shoes I bought were nice - but the right shoe kept slipping off my foot (I walked around in my living room). When I went to return them I was told I could not have my money back because I had "exchanged" them, even though I had a receipt and the shoes were unworn. They would issue me store credit only.     I love Cathy Jean Shoes! There is no phone number on the receipt, but it is not the store's fault if the number in the phone book may not be correct. You can't tell if a shoe is comfortable unless you wear them in the store. If the shoes you buy are uncomfortable, they should offer some suggestions to help people out.

    I got a pair of boots from Cathy Jean for Christmas, wore the shoes for around five minutes. Decided to exchange them for one size bigger the very next day Dec 26. I was told by the manager at the Northridge ca location that I could returned them because I have wore them. I never wore the shoes... I wasn't trying to get a different pair of shoes or the money. All I wanted was to exchange them for one larger size.

    These people need some serious training! Then I tried to call corporate, good luck! They hide their number behind an answering machine and do not respond to emails. Ladies avoid this place.

    I bought two pairs of very high heels from the Altamonte Springs Cathy Jean Shoes Store in Florida. I usually wear a size 6 and it was a little big, the salesperson told me to try on the 5 1/2, they were pretty tight but she said the Brazilian leather would stretch. I wore them for about 8 hours and they were tighter than ever, partially due to my foot swelling up in them.     Sales people at the Cathy Jean Shoes Stores need to be trained on how to handle unsatisfied and angry customers instead of aggravating the situation and making the customer even more upset.
