Bought my wife and daughter shoes from their Newport Beach store. After wearing the shoes for all of 15 minutes the soles came loose. When I returned them to the store they would not accept because they were worn. Contacted their customer service line and got no response. Stay away from Cathy Jean. (read more)

I purchased a pair of boots for my daughter for Christmas. She has worn them less then 3 hours and the heel is lkr easy coming apart from the sole. If only I had read the reviews before I bought these, I would never have set foot in that store. Whenever I'm at the mall and I walk by that store I will be sure to warn any unsuspecting foster ears, as they walk in, to stay away. (read more)

My 14 year old daughter bought a pair of boots ($42) on Christmas Eve. The store was busy. They did NOT give her a receipt. That night she tried on her boots and decided to exchange them for a half size larger. The day after Christmas, we returned to Cathy Jean to exchange. Since she did not have a receipt, the REFUSED to exchange for another size!! INCREDIBLY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My daughter is now out $42....a lot of babysitting hours. I bought a pair of boots which were defective and had poor arch support. I was told to contact the customer service department and the manager Avery Morales said to continue wearing them and the leather would stretch and feel better. I had a very bad experience with Cathy Jean shoe store as well as everyone else here!! Had a pair of heels for one day and wore them for less than one hour. The rubber sole began lifting on one of the shoes and they were not all too compfortable for $60 so I decided to return them with reciept. My daughter purchased a very cute pair of boots with flannel insides and zippers up the back. On her second day of wearing them, BOTH zippers broke! We tried to exchange them for the exact same kind...we even had the receipt and original box. Just so you know, doesn't matter if you have either! I have to say I would NEVER shop at their stores or on-line but I guess from reading all the other reviews I was the lucky one. They truly are the worse place to buy nice expensive shoes. The managers are stupid as well as the return/exchange policy. I heard about Cathy Jean when my coworker had a pair. I love heels, but prefer comfortable wedges if possible. So, they had a pair that is like $89.99 original price plain black leather slip on's. That's pretty pricey for plain wedges. I ordered this other rhinestone pair online for sale @$30. So, when my shoes came in it was in a beat up shoe box and the pair was a little snug. I work at a Cathy Jean and if that girl had sold you the pair without approval from the district managaer she most likely would of been fired, if she had been an associate and not a manager she DEFINTLY would have been fired. And even if there's an issue with signage she should have changed the sticker on the shoe if she already knew about it but as for the shelf it was on with the other 50% off shoes if she changed the shoes around so all 50 was on one 25 on the other etc and the DM came in she would have been chewed out for changing the display. The rules are stupid we complain as well but we're only employees we're not corporate we can't do anything about it Cathy Jean is EXTREMELY strict on us and it leads to us having to deal with unhappy people I know in my store we accomadate as much as we can bending rules whenever possible but sometimes theirs truly nothing we can do

Too bad I can't give them a negative rating (i.e, negative amount of stars). That's what they deserve. They dismiss their customers' issues with canned comments like "that's our policy" with total disregard to expceptions that should be made when the situation calls for it. I currently work at a Cathy Jean in CA I feel the same about our exchange and return policy and the way it has to be handled but in that case their really is NOTHING we can do. Corporate is extremely strict and would defintly fire an associate or fire even a manger for giving you a refund without approval from a district mananger and if a district manager approved she would most likely not be fired but put on a extremely short leash unless given approval by corporate and corporate will say no. Other than try and find you something else in our store that works for you we can't do anything without risking losing our jobs and I'm a mother as well I need my job to feed my son. Cathy Jean Corporate has a long way to go but until they make changes theres only so much employees can do

First, the product is poorly made in my opinion and high-priced. Second, they give you just 10 days to return the shoes for a refund, which is not a lot of time. Here's what happened to me. I love Cathy Jean Shoes! There is no phone number on the receipt, but it is not the store's fault if the number in the phone book may not be correct. You can't tell if a shoe is comfortable unless you wear them in the store. If the shoes you buy are uncomfortable, they should offer some suggestions to help people out. (read more)
