Five years ago I bought a Miele washer dryer costing around £1000. The dryer didn't work from day 1 - John Lewis kindly replaced the machine. Five years later (with very little use - washing for two people and the dryer hardly ever used) the dryer has broken. Miele want £92 to find out why. I have had a Miele extractor fan which performed well, but the design was unpracticable. I think I might as well buy cheaper machine and replace every 5 years.

Bought it on a Tuesday from Hughes Direct (avoid! they started quibbling after I reported a problem 1 day after purchase, and have given me endless grief).

It was delivered on Thursday. After the first couple of loads I was horrified to see water on the floor, from just under the front left . Checked the connections, all OK; checked the filter on the left bottom, all dry; must be the machine. Seemed to start after I used the dryer, but continued a slow leak even when water isolated.

    I ran ...

My Miele WT2670 machine broke down twice within the first 3,5 years, the first time just after 15 months, which involved 3 call-outs including a part already needed replacing. Second time 2 years later, fan belt problem, just not acceptable for a £1,000 machine.

We were very suprised to see the F53 fault code on our Miele WT2670 as believed Miele to be reliable and efficient we are now left with at least a 10 day wait for a Miele engineer to be in the area. If you're going to buy one just make sure you get at least a 5 year extended warranty.

It is obvious that this WT2670 washer dryer will last a long time, over 5 years in fact, due in part to the excellent mechanisms used within this product itself by miele.

It coped very well with 3 months unwashed clothing and more within the last 5 days since we received it from Dixons. If you are looking for a bargain price please buy from Dixons who will deliver and install the product for around £870 including VAT which is over £129 cheaper than other retailers nationally. ...

A brilliant machine. Don't even bother to waste your money on a cheaper alternative, I had a meile washing machine 15 years ago and it is still working brilliantly and has never been serviced - it is now with my Mum as I needed a washer dryer when I moved. This is excellent.

Purchased a wt2670 from Miele about 12 months ago, used about 3 times a week, still running like new, when purchased it came with a 5 year parts and labour warranty, but as I sent the warranty card back to miele within 14 days miele then gave me an extra 5 years. Excellent wash and drying results.
The drum is light, which is very useful. Compared to hotpoint/hoover which I have had in the past the Miele is simply outstanding.

Very well built, the Miele WT2670 is quiet and stable even at 1600 rpm, economical/efficient energy ratings. Excellent wash and drying results. The load indicator is a useful feature together with the drum lighting. Easy to follow handbook instructions also the LED display gives you the appropriate prompts. The anti leak system gives peace of mind (especially if you have wooden floors). As with all Miele products they are expensive but a cut above the rest.

Very solid feel to machine. Interior lamp. Information screen very useful: it gives time remaining to complete wash/spin cycle.

I purchased a Miele WT2670 washer dryer from the Co-op, and it was delivered with a dented side panel, marked top and no tools. After a day the rubber drum seal leaked, and after 2 weeks the machine stopped at wash with no final spin. Still no tools. They came to fit a new side panel but they had the wrong one. It is being replaced next week.

It seems like I have paid for a Miele when an Indesit may have been a wiser selection!
