I recently bought a SS DS Podium and I'm really happy I did! I own an Omega speed master and an old Tag as well so It's not my first decent watch. It looks great on the wrist, is uber reliable and it really is as tough as they say ( I'm a chef, so it gets a fair bit of abuse) it has never let me down. Like many others here, I too bought this over a vacation in zurich after noticing it on the back cover of one of the magz that are placed all over hotels to do just that. Saw it in a boutique the next day and bought, thought was its a reasonably prized watch that will serve as a souvenir of the sort (I had never heard of the brand before, as no one who don't owns a certina has). I bought my Certina DS Podium a little over a yaer ago. I noticed it in an advertisement on the back cover of a magazine. It looked so good on the picture that I went wild, and wanted to buy it still that day. I did, and I was very happy with it, but after some days the big hand of the stop watch did not return to zero (or 12)anymore when I pushed reset. Great looking watch and good value for money. After few days I was didn't even feel them on my hand. Many friends were asking about the make and model because they liked the desing. The only problem were the chronograph hands which have gone loose after about a week of wearing. Since it was a mechanical failure not caused by external source, it was covered by the warranty and I got a replacement with no problems at all. (read more)

I purchased this beatiful Certina DS Podium Chrono Quartz - leather time piece a couple of months back.. I love it.. good quality, reliable and great appearance. If your looking to buy something that looks like a breitling, or tag hauer, this a great option for a quarter of the price of one of those. I get a lot of compliments from a lot of people. Bought the Certina DS Podium as something special. It looks good but has been unreliable. The sweep (chronograph) hands lose their position and the watch often stops or loses the time for no apparent reason - this started when only a few weeks old. The UK has no retail support so it has to be sent off which is pretty useless. Have emailed for support and wait with baited breath (read more)

Purchased my Certina DS Podium Chrono Quartz as a momento of a wonderful xmas vacation in Switzerland 2007, my DS Podium has since become my everyday wearer. It has deleivered completely reliable and accurate performance. As a sports watch, it features unique and stunning styling. I often notice it catching the eye of people I meet, drawing those ' I like your watch. What is it? ' comments.

This watch is astonishingly good looking, keeps time with great accuracy, well I guess it's normal since it is a Swiss Made Timepiece.
In relation to its price, The quality is GREAT.
I wear it proudly on special occasions and the customer service, based in Switzerland is amongst The BEST In The World.
I have for quite some time now and by the way its looking, it seems that it will stay on my side for many more years to come.

It looks good, great even, potentially 'Certina is the new black'. A real man's watch. If Jack Bauer was going to be a watch, he'd consider being a Certina at least. When it was working, for those first 15-18 months, kept very accurate time. Now... between that and the watch band breaking (glad it happened at home and not somewhere out and about as I likely would have missed it), the watch is more poser than real watch. I bought this timepiece 2 months ago. The only flaw it has became obvious within a few days: the finish of the leather strap wore off near the case in a few days. The problem is that the case was too close to the strap, so it scraped the surface of the not-so-high quality strap and made the light colored leather below visible.
I changed the strap to a Hirsch, and had the spring bars bent, so the strap doesn't reach the case anymore.
I still think it's an excellent watch, I like it very much,...
