General comments: Smeetham Hall Barn is the perfect venue! After months of searching for a wedding venue, I was shocked to discover that the majority provided set, over priced packages, allowing you very little freedom on your big day. That was until we found Smeetham Hall Barn in Suffolk. This venue offers a truly beautiful setting (Gainsborough & Constable land) and is full of character which meant that we barely needed to add decoration. You can use your own choice of caterers, as well as take your own alcohol (no corkage charge). These points alone allowed us to save thousands on our original budget and gave us the freedom to have exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Bridget and Anthony were extremely helpful making sure that everything ran smoothly on the day, providing a service above and beyond any that we'd expected, as did many of the suppliers chosen form the info pack put together by Bridget. We would especially recommend JLS Catering (amazing food and service) and Rosie's Posies (really exceptional at what she does). To sum up, if you're looking for beautiful settings, lots of character and to be allowed to have exactly the wedding you want, this is the venue to choose.
