Good Points: The Bolwell ARIBA SX 125 CC performed well overall. Up very steep hills it was surprising and it held 50km/h. Great paint job and the seat position was good.

Bad Points: Fuel economy was very poor 3.5 to 4 litres for 100K. The scooter needs a much bigger petrol tank at least 10L. The brakes are very poor especially the back brake. The front was a lot better but seriously the brakes are below average. My $100 push bike from Kmart pulls up better. The back brake is miserably poor and a lot of effort is required to stop the scooter. The combination from both brakes pulls up the scooter well but you don't have anything in reserve. The scooter held 60km/h very well almost everywhere and 80km/h was possible in most situations but don't expect much more that that. On a very flat road and about 2 to 3km length of road the scooter will reach 100k/h but as soon as you get a slight hill it will fall away to 90. The scooter would be better off if it had a wind break and it would be a lot more comfortable to ride. The mirrors and mirror position is not real good and you cannot see well behind you. The feet position is odd and in my opinion the foot board it too wide. Overall width of the scooter is too wide. The suspension was ok but if there is a decent bump on the road expect the scooter to become unstable. If there is loose stones or sand on the road the scooter handling will be compromised. The wheels are too small and stability suffers.

General comments: My Bolwell Ariba SX 125 is a fun bike to ride. Very thirsty on the petrol and your pit-stops are going to be many, as you will get about 140k/m per tank. Starts easy, steers well but becomes unstable quickly if the road is loose. Good bike on paved and smooth roads in good condition. At a price of $4000.00 second hand this, in my opinion, is very poor choice for money. I cannot see $4000.00 in this scooter. I love the bike and I enjoy riding it but you need to consider the downfalls of it before you purchase it. I STRONGLY ADVISE that you HIRE A SCOOTER for the day and really ride it before you commit to purchasing it. Have fun and I hope this information was useful to you.
