    Having booked a trip to Andorra with Freedom Direct Holidays, and paid a healthy supplement for a superior room, which in reality didn't exist! I naturally lodged a complaint with FD. Suprise surprise, English customer service is again proved to be "the consumers problem" -3 phone calls, numerous e-mails- all ignored and now it appears FD have gone bust -my problem again it appears! Appaling customer service and had they not called in the administrators, I would never use them again anyway

    In February 2009, I booked and paid for a holiday through Freedom Direct for June. I suspected there was a problem then, but I had checked the ATOL and ABTA sites first. I paid by credit card despite the premium, but wanted the security against loss in case of problems. Also paid for the 'Supplier Failure Cover'. (Wasted more money there.)
    I bought a 'Package' but it was not registered by FD.
    Hays Travel informed me by Email, only the hotel had not been paid.

    Freedom Direct Holidays Limited website is up and running and backed by a reservations team
    Even though Freedom Direct ceased trading on 16 April, the intellectual name and website were taken over by Hays Travel on 23 April and they can now take new bookings backed by Hays Travel

    I booked a last minute February Holiday for myself and my girlfriend in
    February after finding Freedom Direct Holidays Limited via google.We found a fantastic All Inclusive deal in a four star hotel in Gran Canaria.     We booked with Freedom Direct in June 2008 for Sharks Bay, Sharm, Egypt. We were a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but everything went perfectly and we had the best holiday ever with no delays or problems.

    Booking procedure good - no problems. Taxi failed to show at airport. Incorrect information given by operative in UK concerning canceling return taxi. Complaints department extremely unhelpful and have failed to answers the points raised. Good prices, booking system but dreadful complaints department. Two letters later I am still trying to get an answer from Freedom Direct Holidays.

    The price was good, discount code can be available. Excellent service, I was given the agents personal freephone number, he couldn't have been more helpful, I could contact him anytime if I had a query. The hotel voucher and receipts arrived almost immediately by email. I would definitely use them again, I had them very highly recommended to me and I am very satisfied with the service. Can't think of any bad points.

    We do not blame Freedom Direct in anyway and have not asked for any compensation, we just think people should be aware of how poor this hotel is. Our holiday was from end of Aug 08 for 2 weeks. Immediately it was obvious the food was a problem, served on a heated servery in large trays, it was all only lukewarm. On barbeque nights the food is out by the pool, very nice, however what was in the trays had been their for 90 minutes and was invariably stone cold, meat from the barbeque often still b ...

    The delay sending documentation was a worry. I would not flying with Easyjet again on such a long flight. Not directly the fault of Freedom Direct but it would be better if there was an option offered for longer flights.

    Altinkum was a lovely resort but I would not book with Freedom Direct again. I had to pick tickets on the saturday from local post office as I was flying on Sunday. Only to find I had no apartment booking or tranfer booking only my flight tickets. I had to get them email me both of them. I arrived to resort to find Pedya Aqua was closed early.     Having booked a holiday with this company in august I have nothing but problems and am wondering whether we will get what we have paid for.
    Having phoned and emailed this company every week since the booking no one as yet has been able to upgrade the flights (the luggage allowance is 15k as opposed to 20k and we were never given the option to upgrade at the time of booking) or to cancel the taxi transfers (we were told we would pay one price and were in fact charged more).     Did not find this agency very good except when taking your money. Didn't tell us flight time had changed, didn't tell the taxi company at the other end our flight had changed. We had to pay 50 euros on taxis and then waited 6 mths after numerous phone calls to get our money back.

    I have booked to go to Corfu with Freedom Direct on their website. I wanted to add some upgrades to the flight ie inflight meals etc, however having tried to contact them for the last 5 days I eventually managed to get through on Thursday morning to be told someone would ring me back which they didn't.     Would like to thank freedom direct for a stress free holiday. Was a little worried with some of the reviews but realise some people just like to complain. My holiday was perfect and I enjoyed everything about it.

    Booked with Freedom Direct on line to go to Benidorm in May 08 a bit wary about the comments and it being a ticketless flight but everything fell into place - flights on time, transfers quick and hotel lovely. Would use them again.

    First class service from them, was able to contact them when I needed to query anything. Plane was delayed by two hours but taxi transfer was there waiting 4 o'clock in the morning to take us to our hotel. Will definitely be booking holidays with them in the near future.

    The departure and arrival times did not match the hotel booking times. When I phoned customer service department to inform them of this they put me through to Freedom Flights customer service department. They informed me that I had to go back to Freedom Direct to raise my query. When I rang Freedom Direct once again, they kept me on hold for 15 minutes, when I eventually got through the phone, the line cut-off.     We booked a flight to Turkey recently and when we got there we found the hotel we were supposed to be staying at had no such reservations made!!! and then we were transferred to some other hotel and told that a taxi would take us there because it was there fault we had to move hotels, only at the end of the journey the cab driver made us pay!!! We booked for 6 people- 6beds! but had to settle for 4 single beds!!! not very happy at alllllllllllll!!!!!

    Book over the net its better or use a better company! I wish we had been told that there were roadworks outside the apartment we are staying that start at 7am, was not told this when booked and left it to late to change accomodation. Was told that only 5 seats left and would have to book there and then, only to check that there are still seats available one month later. Would never use them again, customer service did not help, except for one member of staff who was helpful.
