A LOVELY Italian! Great to take your parents, or go on a date. Lit by candlelight at night - it is good value for money, and DELICIOUS! Can't recommend it enough - the asparagus and parma ham and cozze starter is always a winner! I have been with my children and it is the best. The waiters greet you and welcome you like long lost friends, the food is superb, the best Lamb in Wales , the atmosphere is fun Whenever we are deciding where to eat we go through loads of restuarants and end up at Gemelli. I love going to this restuarant it is a real treat! Food has always been of very high quality, service always attentive. We couldn't fault it. Something really special which added to our anniversary celebration last week was the BEAUTIFULL cake made for us by Gemelli`s restaurant .Exellent

i was visiting family , went there for a meal not to be repeated again , i thought the food was disappointing because it wasnt very hot on arrival an tasteless. the staff looked like there minds were else where.

Recntly attended a family celebration at Gemelli Newport. The food was barely warm and bland. The manager was constantly looking at his watch and gave us the impression we needed to leave asap. An experience not to be repeated.

Had a lovely lunch for a friends 40th on Wednesday. Was so impressed have booked a table for three friends for Saturday night. Have also recommended to my parents as a venue for their golden wedding anniversary next May. Thats how impressed I was after one visit!! The food was delicious and the desserts to die for. I thought I was in heaven! Cant wait until Saturday. Well worth a visit.

Just love the food and the service and the staff are so friendly at Gemelli's, Newport!
I recommend everyone who likes good food and a friendly tasteful atmosphere to give this restaurant a try...
the cakes are stunning and you just want to repeat the experience over and over again!!
There is nothing I don't like about the whole experience .. I'm hooked on the place and recommend it all the time t family and friends! We had a birthday cake made and it was superb and such good value for money!

All i can say is my experience of dining at Gemelli's Newport was "absolutely outstanding". Beautiful decor with attention to detail evident. The meals were exquisitely presented and were cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive and very friendly. My friends and i were amazed at how reasonable the prices were, in light of the quality of the meals. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted to experience 'fine dining' at a affordable price. I cant wait to find an excuse ...

The simplicity and the authenticity of the true Mediterranean kitchen, are the secret of Gemelli's success!!!
Classy and Pleasant environment.
I love this restaurant!
I was introduced to it by my dad a few years ago.
The food is lovely and i haven't had a bad meal to date. I have dined in some lovely and highly rated restaurants around the world and i would consider this a good place to dine.

First time experience with Gemerlli's, which was amazing. The staff are very attentive, and very talented (Chefs). The desserts are amazing, so good in fact i ordered my wedding cake at the same time.

Without doubt one of the worst meals I've had in a long time.Pretentious and amateurish (where do I stop).The calimari could have plugged the hole in my spare tyre..the steak was bearly passable.Enjoy if you can!

I have been to Gemellis a dozen times and have never had a bad meal.

Wonderful food, fantastic service and cosy surroundings, a hidden treasure in Newport!

I have been to Gemelli's, Newport, several times over the years and each time is as good as the last. Despite limited space, the friendly staff and exceptional food definitely compensate. I can honestly say I have NEVER been dissapointed! The food is absolutely devine!

I was in Gemelli's, Newport for a lunch with my friends, the food was good presented, the staff was high qualified, the dessert was exceptional, we had a lovely time.
Only One toilet, whuch was a shame.

At Gemelli's the table presentation is beautiful, the cutlery is in fab little wooden cases. The menu is quite large. The savoury food is good but not exceptional. The desserts are fantastic!
It's very small and poky, when it's busy it feels like you're on the lap of the people on the next table.

Friendly, welcoming staff. The food at Gemelli's was interesting and of good quality and beautifully presented, especially the desserts. Although from the outside it looks like a corner cafe, inside the atmosphere is intimate and I like the 'outdated' decor (statues, candelabras, tablecloths, food brought to the table covered by a dome etc.). It was possible to have a normal conversation because there wasn't loud music.

This is the second time we have been there and we had a fantastic experience. Food was just divine and the desserts to die for. We had guests with us and they really enjoyed it too. We will definitely eat here again in the near future.

We've not actually eaten at Gemelli's, but have tasted their cakes at other functions - if you're looking for a wedding cake, this is the place to talk to. They will also do smaller cakes for birthdays etc, which taste just as good and look stunning. We had our wedding cake from Gemelli's and can't recommend them enough.

I thought the decor at Gemelli's looked dated and the food expensive and not good value for money. My polite complaint about the main course was met with 'I'll tell the chef' and that was the last I heard!
Regrettably not an experience to be repeated
