The LG GCE-8240B CD-R/RW CD writer performed faultlessly for over 3 years, then it started locking up Windows when I copied and pasted Quick Time movies. Finally, last week it stopped communicating with XP Home 2nd Edition. Been to Roxio and downloaded update, but it wouldn't install. 3 days now, and I can't figure out how to get it to work again. Uninstall, reinstall, restart, restart, restart. I HATE WINDOWS, and now I hate everything 'LG', 'Roxio', or 'Sonic'!

This was my first and only CD-R/RW burner used and it performed faultlessly for over 3 years, (drive has been replaced with LG GSA4163B DVD burner, only reason why drive was replaced, was still using drive in 3 drive set-up until just recently). Highly recommend this drive for anyone just starting out with CD burning.
