    Good Points: Gorgeous street,
    Friendly staff,
Very comfortable rooms with modern fittings,
    Beautiful window balcony,

Bad Points: Limited television, but very amusing watching american tv shows in french! (and you don't go to paris to watch tv!)

General comments: I had booked to go to paris for a weekend in August and had originally booked to stay in a hotel just off Avenue du General Leclerc but due to problems there we were moved to the Best Western Nouvel Orleans Hotel instead, and we were really lucky to do so! These rooms were much bigger and had newer fittings (LCD TV) and a crisper, more modern decor. I was staying with my girlfriend and on the first night we had a room on the top floor which was absolutely gorgeous; a small window balcony leading onto the roof of the picturesque 19th Century roofing with a typically parisian raught iron fence. Looking out upon the Paris skyline you could see directly ahead to le tour d'eiffel with it's amazing lightshow display, as well as the other notable buildings such as le tour de montparnasse. Staying on ave du General Leclerc we had a direct walk to Notredam and a pretty little jardin du San Marco, and on the street itself there was everything that we needed, a gorgeous bakery, 2 metro stations, caf s and a monoprix supermarket for the little essentials. Although we didn't eat at the hotel the food was gorgeous everywhere else we went, if a little expensive closer to tourist areas, the only problem being the lack of vegetarian options for my girlfriend, who struggled to find anything edible within the limited options of the french cuisine.
If you go to this hotel, which I certainly recommend, I would choose against the breakfast option and instead walk northwards up the street just passed the caf after the monoprix and stop at the beautiful little bakery there. The baguettes were gorgeous, and all the little cakes, quiches and pizzas looked lovely, they are also very tollerant of English speakers, which was suprisingly common around the city, quite unexpected after hearing about apparant arrogance in Paris. I certainly found the people to be very accomodating and extremely pleasant, especially so in the hotel.
Paris is a beautiful city, with lovely people and gorgeous sites, I hope to go again very soon.
