Some good offers of discounts within asda for using card. Still got to work out how the amounts of awards are collectable. Had problems with asda petrol pumps accepting their own card.
2p isn't deducted @ pump, must be done when it arrives at office and deducted from bill, I will have to check on card with receipts .(if the pump provides them)!!!!!

From 1st September 2007 the purchase protection will no longer cover purchases that you make against accidental damage, loss or theft. REASON from ASDA "because very few customers ever use it" this is a pathetic excuse. I insure my home contents based on the fact if unforeseen accident, loss or theft I shall be compensated. Just because I have never claimed does not justify cancellation. ASDA should be happy with the fact the cover is not being abused; should I now make a claim before September ...

A new limit of £6000 per annum (£500 per month) for loyalty awards seems to be designed to restrict our monthly spending to Asda shopping only . If you spend over £115 per week from September you will no longer get vouchers over this amount. Time to look elsewhere. Goldfish seems a good alternative with £5 rewards for every £1000 spent. Any other suggestions? Use the Asda card for petrol only but only if you live near to a filling station.

I've had the Asda Credit card for over a year and earned close to £100 in ASDA vouchers! Also I get 2p off diesel in ASDA's petrol stations which saves me a few £'s each time I go. Other than that it's like any other credit card, not noticed APR is high or low, everything else just seems to run.
Overall I like it.

I will only keep the Asda credit card while the offer on petrol continues, as there are several Asda filling stations in my locality. If it is discontinued I will immediately change cards.
If you like to keep track of your spending online, choose another card, as this is by far the worst I have ever used (and I have used Sainsburys, Goldfish, Abbey, Nationwide and Halifax).

The letters they sent looked like fakes. Printed in draft mode on a cheap bubblejet printer.
Gives the impression that 'GE Consumer Credit Services' are cutting corners.
I would recommend the Asda credit card purely for the 2p saving on fuel and 6 Months interest free on purchases, but for nothing else.

I've just spent another ten minutes on the phone to them, which mainly consisted of being asked my postcode 10 times. The staff are helpful, but all they can see is if the credit card is supposed to have been issued, there is no way of knowing if it really went out. There is no way that Royal Mail have lost all the cards that Asda have supposedly sent me. It isn't worth the stress and hassle.

I waited for 10 weeks and wrote 5 letters, and each time they blamed it on technical problems, and they only replied to half of my letters. I asked for an additional Asda credit card, but it never arrived. Their online service never works. GE Capital should be nominated for the worst financial company of the 21st century award. I'll never forget the hassle I've had!

It takes forever for the card to come, and when it does you will think somebody in school made it at play time. When you try to register the Asda credit card online, you find their website is not working, and it has been like that for a couple of weeks now. Doesn't give me a lot of confidence in them.

With an ASDA Credit Card you get 2p off every litre of fuel you buy at ASDA Petrol stations, and you get the money off instantly at the pump.
The card design is a bit naff, but with CHIP & PIN no one sees that anyway!
It is really worthwhile if you can fill up at an ASDA Petrol station. There are no strings, and you get petrol the discount instantly.
