Breville JK 33 - Looks good and heats well but after more than a year's use there are two problems:
- first, water now leaks very slowly out through the bottom of the plastic see-through window. Only found this out when I came back after a weekend away and the wooden countertop had a dark stain. So, the plastic/metal seal will not remain in good shape
- second, the handle always remains warm. not sure what the point of this is but it does seem a waste of energy and very un-environmental. ...

The Breville JK-33 is a swivel base, bomb proof kettle with excellent styling. It has a flat pad element which saves having to fill it up too much and waste money. Durability is first class, ergonomic... need I go on?
The chrome finish is difficult to keep spotlessly clean, as with all kitchen appliances of this finish, but if you need a good quality kettle with a reasonable price, that will last many happy years, buy this one. And I don't even drink the tea!!
