Several people have received error 31, and some have received errors 33. These relate to problems with the motors to control the movement of the lens and the lens assembly itself.

These are problems that are not easily fixed (Possibly a money maker for HP repairs?) and can occur at any time - and several people complain of this problem being outside the cameras 1 year warranty period.

“I bought the HP PhotoSmart M627 camera almost a year...”

I bought the HP PhotoSmart M627 camera almost a year ago and overall I am very pleased with it. Picture quality is great and it is sturdy and very easy to use (even my 3 year old uses it sometimes). Can't go wrong for the price. (read more)
