Good Points: Free Parking for over 1000 vehicles opposite ground. Well thought out tours. Fans well catered for in cafe. A must for any footie fan, not just Manchester Utd fans. Pre-booking of stadium tour recommended to avoid disappointment.
Bad Points: None.
General comments: Our party consisted of Mum, Dad, 3 boys (10, 11 & 13). Three footie fans, one of which is a Manchester Utd fan and two neutrals (one being mum!). Having recently this year visited the Liverpool Stadium I was pleasantly surprised how big this stadium actually was. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. You can either visit the Museum or do the guided Stadium Tour and Museum combined, which is what we did. Total cost for 5 of us was £27 (family ticket) and programme sovenier was £3.00. Prices are as follows for Museum only:- Adults £6.00, Family £17.50, Juniors/OAP's £4.25, Under 5's Free. Museum & Tour combined was:- £9.50 Adults, Family £27.00, Juniors/OAP's £6.50, Under 5's Free.Book combined tickets in advance as you could be disappointed - Booking telephone no: 0870 442 1994, see website www.manutd.com. This tour follows the history of the club. See all the trophies in the trophy room. A selection in the museum celebrates the greats of Manchester Utd, Charlton, Law, Best, Cantona and many many more. On the stadium tour you go behind the scenes, you have a bird's eye view of the pitch and are able to stand in Sir Alex Feruson's spot in the dug out. Visit the press conference room, VIP lounge and stand where the players have their pre-match meal. Discover the player's eating habits and pre-match rituals as you make your way to the Player's Lounge, where they relax with their families after a game. Visit the Home Changing room and sit at your favourite player's peg, then emerge from the tunnel to the roar of the crowd. Excellent cafe facilities, although we went to a temporary marquee whilst the main cafe was being updated. Still excellent and with very friendly staff. I felt the Manchester Utd Club really know how to organise things and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The tour guides were very pleasant and only too eager to answer as many questions as possible. Tour lasts an hour or so. Museum is open Mon - Sun 9.30 a.m - 5 p.m and the Tour Mon - Sun 9.40 a.m - 4.30 p.m - restrictions on home match days so be sure to ring beforehand. Total family score 10/10 for this visit.
