Good Points: Hilarious
All good
Bad Points: It didn't last forever
General comments: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas has now taken the top spot on my favorite film list. When compared to the book, it's accuracy is astonishing. From the director of 12 Monkeys (Terry Gilliam), the film is a crazed assault on the senses, and the mind bending visions of hallucinations are absolutely crazed. This film truly captures H.S.Thompsons life and spirit with dazzling authenticity. Johnny Depp's performance as Raoul Duke is as flawless and hilarious as any performance I have ever seen by any actor, portraying any character, EVER! This film is an absolute must watch, and if you don't watch it you should be tied to a pole and beaten with a wet kipper! A wild, wacky, whirlwind journey through the psyche of the creator of gonzo journalism, surely the craziest film ever. Worship it!
