Good Points: The Mil-Dots are very useful when using the scope on a pre-charged rifle.
Powerful optics, nice and clear and easy to setup.
    Good light capture.

Bad Points: Power / Magnification adjustment very stiff, can be annoying when trying to sight in on a target.

General comments: Hawke Reflex 3-9 x 50 mil dot is an easy to mount, use, and adjust mid-ranged scope. It came with my rifle (RWS Rapier) and I'm very happy, however, it would be better if the power adjuster was lighter.

Update on previous post. The Reflex I was reviewing actually fell to bits internally. Pretty poor really given that it's on a low-recoil rifle (HW97K) with only occasional light use. In fairness, the shop replaced it without quibble. It's good points are evident, and if it had an adjustable objective I'd rate it higher. Having no option but to get a scope for newly purchased HW97 .. I was given the choice of 3 scopes in the shop. The shop guy pointed at the Hawke 3-9 x50 & said this ones good so I got it. Not had a scope ever .. (but had plenty of telephoto & zoom lenses on cameras) I didn't need any instruction. I must say I can't understand why a camera manufacturer can't make a similar "bright" lens at this silly price .. I paid ££££££'s for a mere 8x fixed focal lens and ...

Maybe I just got a slightly Hawke Reflex. Can't say it's affected my targeting so I've never bothered to repackage and return it. But its things like this that reminds one it's a budget scope.

Oversize front end increases shooting time, great with BSA Lightning and Logun lamp. Easy to fit, simple hunting scope, approximate cost £80.
