Chanced London Street Brasserie for the set menu and needed a break from xmas shopping. Service was slow (45 mins for our starters and we were one of 2 sets of diners!) The tables and surroundings looked dirty to me and food tasted like a supermarket ready meal. I cant really say much more than that. I hate places that try to be up market, I think places like this should get the food right then worry about how good it looks. Would not go back if you paid me! (read more)

It was quite noisy in the restaurant with people talking non-stop, however that did help make the atmosphere, just a pity one can't turn down the volume a little. However, despite the noise, I would certainly return to eat here again. Delicious food. (read more)

We stumbled across the London Street Brasserie in Reading by accident a few months ago, and thank god! The range of eateries in Reading is by no means exhaustive; and so to find really good food, wine and service is fantastic. A definite must if you like good food. (read more)
