I wouldn't have thought to leave a review for this, but spotted it along the sidebar and so had to let people know just how great it is! I have used EVERY type of fake tan, believe me, but I don't like that tacky orange look.. I'm aiming for a natural, just back from a great holiday glow. I also hate the smell and mess of most self tanners, which really puts me off. So when I tried Xen Tan, I was in heaven. Really easy to apply, beautiful colour and absolutely NO biscuit smell. It also... (read more)

I had high hopes for this product given the fact that it claimed to give an "olive undertone", was long lasting and didn't have that typical DHA scent to it. I was excited to try it but found that it just didn't deliver. It provides instant color which is nice, but it is VERY messy. You have to wash your hands for a good 2 or 3 minutes with soap to get it off. It's also TERRIBLY messy while you're wearing it. It will rub off on ANYTHING it touches - just like a liquid foundation. I... (read more)

I was pretty impressed with this lotion. I was a little nervous after reading some reviews...but from my experience it has been wonderful! There was no streaking, (I did use my hands to put on the lotion...but scrubbed really well after and they turned out just fine). My skin is fair, and normally will turn that yucky orangish color with other self tanners. This gave me a brown color - exactly what I was hoping for! I think it is WELL worth the money. I am one happy customer! :) (read more)

Keep it short and sweet.. for people that want slight colour Xen Tan dark lotion would be good for you :) For people like me who enjoy a deep tan your better off going else where unless you dont mind doing more than 1 application. For me to get the colour I want especially on my legs I have to do 3 applications which is a pain considering Xen Tan isnt exactly one of the cheaper brands on the market today. It does smell nice when it goes on but within an hour or 2 the typical fake tan... (read more)

BUT then I tried another way of applying and I absolutely love this stuff! When I first applied this stuff I used a tanning mit - BIG MISTAKE it just seemed to drag the product around causing massive streaks all over, so then I tried applying with gloves and again a big streaky mess! at this point I'd washed it off twice and had lost all faith in this... Don't waste your money on this tanning product. This is by far the worst tanner I have ever used. I have tried other tanners in the past that only cost ten dollars and worked soo much better than Xen. It gave me an Orange tan. I only tried it b/ c I was looking for a tanner that smelled better. Although this xen tanner has a light scent its horrible to tan with. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Save your money (read more)

I can't believe how good this is! Been meaning to try this for a while but its never in house of fraser or debenhams near me so I eventually ordered online. I am a fake tan addict - I usually use St Tropex or fake bake...I am totally converted and will be buying this from now on. I have just finished a bottle of the xentan dark lotion, honestly it has to be the best fake tan i have ever used, but it should be for the price! I think i payed £30 for it, it probably lasted about 4 months but i only ever used it perhaps every other weekend. To be fair you dont have to use it much more because it stays on for about 9 days and doesnt go patchy at all like most fake tans do. And people thought i was just naturally tanned because its not a horrible orangey fake tan colour... (read more)

Xen tan .. Ok, so i am not one to judge. I am very optimistic and believe in the hypes of products and expect them to be as good as they claim. So lets get to the point, i am fair skinned which never tans just burns (painfully!) and decided i needed a wash of colour in my life, so i made the decision of buying xen tan dark lotion. I love Xen tan i am pale skinned and fair haired and had been using St Tropez for years however although i liked the result it used to wear off very patchy. With Xen tan i wash off after 3 hrs which means i don't have to sleep in it and i am left with a nice natural tan suited to my colouring which isn't orange it also does not fade patchy and lasts a week if you mostuise and gently exfoliate after a couple of days. Have used fake-tans since they were first produced and have tried everyone. Xen-tan is by far the best. Thicker than other ones which makes applying easier, smells like Almond but when washed off there is no after-smell. Can be used on face and body, making it better than buying multiple bottles. Leaves the skin silky smooth {Even on me at 58yrs.} Lasts longer than its rivals eg St.Tropez. The colour is fantastic even on fairer skins, natural olive colour.I have also tested it next to 10... Xen-Tan Dark Tanning Lotion. Love this product. As with all tanning products it can come out quite dark on your knees, elbows and face but as long as you are careful with these bits you will be rewarded with a fantastic natural tan that doesn't look orange like so many people do these days. I have tried nearly every fake tan going in the past and can honestly say this is the best I have tried. I agree with those who have commented that the fake tan smell does start to emerge as the product develops but I am guessing this must just be a neccessary if annoying part of fake tanning. The colour is brilliant, not orangey at all, if the tan is applied carefully it is streak free and an even colour and it leaves your skin really really soft. Although it does take more than one... I found this review very helpful because... I wanted to find a good self tanning lotion. Although Im half cypriot and quite olive, I wanted a boost as I dont like wearing makeup so wanted something with a olive glow to it, but my main concern was that it might make me break out in spots which although i dont suffer from spots except the odd one or two at certain times of the month, I was worried self tanning products may cause this. First of all, Xen tan is relatively expensive, however if you do a good internet search you should be able to find it for about £18.00. It does also last a fair amount of time, a little product goes a long way and you can typically expect a bottle to last one- two months...
