This year our annual, well looked forward to and expensive, summer holiday took me, my partner and her son to the beautiful, yet notorious for many reasons Argentina and the Howard Johnson Inn. We decided to escape the business of Buenos Aires after some of our, better travelled and good friends, had told us about how intense the environment there could be and we preferred a much more quiet and serene approach to our once a year, well planned get-away. Mar del Plata is not quiet by any means, but I suppose such a term is subjective and objectivity could never be achieved within that area. What is more important is that the three of us, different ages, different bakcgrounds and holiday experiences taken into account, still enjoyed our stay in a similar way and we came away very refreshed and ready to face the grind of the UK again. What a shame.
