I've been using 'Zineryt' cream on my skin for acne for about a year now, but it stopped working and wasn't strong enough, so we went back to the doctors and they gave me the Panoxyl Aquagel, 2.5. The doctor said it would bleach my skin, but I still went with his advice and applied it Tuesday night, and the next morning it just seemed a bit dry. I applied it again Wednesday night, and Thursday morning I woke up and my face was bright red, on fire, dry, peeling, tight. It was horrible. I was... (read more)

I usually get spots on my forehead like they are really bad. Last year my sister told me about this product and I can tell you it cleared my acne within 5 days but u need to be prepared for your face to look worse than how it was before u started using panoxy, but if you stick to it u will be so happy at the end. You also need to use a moisturiser on after the panoxy cause it can dry out your skin really bad. (read more)

Great treatment for acne;i have had horrible breakouts all through my teenage years,i tried lots of treatments for it but it got worse during pregnancy, as most of the acne formed abscess and looked like boils, in fact i cannot remember having an acne less face until recently,i was introduced by a pharmacologist to use Dalacin C capsule and apply panoxyl -10 Aqua gel and in a week wow,i tell you the truth my face was cleared off the breakouts i had struggled with for years.Athough i had to apply neutrogena body lotion moisturizer after few minutes of using panoxyl so my skin don't get dried, red and wrinkled but the product is best for acne.

I have had a very, very hard high school life. I've had spots since I was about 12, in year 8. I am now in year 11, and I'm 16. I tried everything. All facial creams and scrubs you can think of. I even washed my face with nothing but water but nothing worked. I have been very self conscious throughout highschool, all the other girls had flawless skin, even my friends had the odd spot but they went all the time. The key to using this is simple. You must start applying to face in pea size amounts, after 2 weeks, double the dosage, again after two weeks double again, and after a further two double again. At this point you should be applying a fair amount to all prone acne areas. This will build up your skins strength. Granted, you will get a red face. PanOxyl oxygenates your skin to prevent growth, therefore after every use, wait 10-15 minutes and apply a pH neutral moisturiser. With this, even the... (read more)

Benzoyl peroxide is a Godsend for my acne! I tried it as a teenager but was put off by the redness and flaking. But a recent trip to the dermatologist persuaded me to try again. The first thing to bear in mind is the redness will go - your skin does get used to it. Start with small quantites rather than slathering it over your face. If your skin does get red and sore, stop for a day or two and then apply it every other day, building it up to daily use and increase the quantity you apply. Be... (read more)

Firstly, this 2.5% version of Panoxyl Aquagel is the only one to use - the other strengths are too much for acne prone skin and can make the condition worse.
Secondly, applying only the BP without a moisturiser will make your skin tight and uncomfortable, as well as overdry which may lead to a worsening of your acne. Find a moisturiser that doesn't block poors - non-comodeogenic - and is non-greasy. Afer many trials, I found Cetaphil moisturising cream worked best for me as often my skin...

My advice is to use with a moisturiser, particularly if you have sensitive skin. Using this product alone can be quite drying especially if you have sensitive skin.
Using an oil-free moisturiser is recommended.
