I've been using 'Zineryt' cream on my skin for acne for about a year now, but it stopped working and wasn't strong enough, so we went back to the doctors and they gave me the Panoxyl Aquagel, 2.5. The doctor said it would bleach my skin, but I still went with his advice and applied it Tuesday night, and the next morning it just seemed a bit dry. I applied it again Wednesday night, and Thursday morning I woke up and my face was bright red, on fire, dry, peeling, tight. It was horrible. I was... (read more)

I usually get spots on my forehead like they are really bad. Last year my sister told me about this product and I can tell you it cleared my acne within 5 days but u need to be prepared for your face to look worse than how it was before u started using panoxy, but if you stick to it u will be so happy at the end. You also need to use a moisturiser on after the panoxy cause it can dry out your skin really bad. (read more)

My doctor prescribed this to me when I had a massive breakout due to stress (I am a 16 year old worrier!). I had heard amazing reveiws about this off youtube beauty gurus, and also my friends. I started using it and thought it was amazing my breakout cleared up and everything was fine. Then, a week later I had another breakout :( which I think was due to it being my 'time of the month'. I got Panoxyl 2.5 gel 5 days ago and the spots have gone!! At first it dried up my skin but immediately the itchiness went and now after 5 days all I have is a little redness where the spots where.

this cream is amazing. yes it does sting at first, especially if you use the alcohol cream but you can use the aquagel which has a less drying effect.

I have had a very, very hard high school life. I've had spots since I was about 12, in year 8. I am now in year 11, and I'm 16. I tried everything. All facial creams and scrubs you can think of. I even washed my face with nothing but water but nothing worked. I used to have relatively bad acne as a teenager, that I got rid of thanks to antibiotics. 10 years later though I started to break out again.

I have sensitive skin and after a few days use I looked worse than previously. My skin was very dry, itchy, and flaky. Not good! I have been using panoxyl 10 for over 2 years now. It has worked really well. Before I started using the treatment I had quite bad acne but now i have no spots and no one even believes that I have acne. The only dowfall of this product it that it contains a bleaching agent. The key to using this is simple. You must start applying to face in pea size amounts, after 2 weeks, double the dosage, again after two weeks double again, and after a further two double again. At this point you should be applying a fair amount to all prone acne areas. This will build up your skins strength. Granted, you will get a red face. PanOxyl oxygenates your skin to prevent growth, therefore after every use, wait 10-15 minutes and apply a pH neutral moisturiser. With this, even the... (read more)

Benzoyl peroxide is a Godsend for my acne! I tried it as a teenager but was put off by the redness and flaking. But a recent trip to the dermatologist persuaded me to try again. The first thing to bear in mind is the redness will go - your skin does get used to it. Start with small quantites rather than slathering it over your face. If your skin does get red and sore, stop for a day or two and then apply it every other day, building it up to daily use and increase the quantity you apply. Be... (read more)

Firstly, this 2.5% version of Panoxyl Aquagel is the only one to use - the other strengths are too much for acne prone skin and can make the condition worse.
Secondly, applying only the BP without a moisturiser will make your skin tight and uncomfortable, as well as overdry which may lead to a worsening of your acne. Find a moisturiser that doesn't block poors - non-comodeogenic - and is non-greasy. Afer many trials, I found Cetaphil moisturising cream worked best for me as often my skin... (read more)

My advice is to use with a moisturiser, particularly if you have sensitive skin. Using this product alone can be quite drying especially if you have sensitive skin.
Using an oil-free moisturiser is recommended.
