The Gamo nitro is a nice rifle, the power of rifle is pretty good. But you need the right pellets to be accurate. The scope will not take the recoil,I have about 4000 pellets through the gun & the scope will not hold center,so I put a bushnell sportsman scope on and its made the rifle unbelievable, so far the scope is staying on center & its making the gun more accurate . WOW!

The Gamo Nitro 17 is a really nice air rifle. Although I found the trigger qite hard to get used to I also found that it shoots perfectly and is very accurate.

I already wrote a comment on this rifle before but now I have some more experience with it..First off the scope it comes with is pretty good but last week I made a upgrade to a Tasco Golden Antler 3-9X32 with Angle Loc 1in High Scope Rings total cost around $85 for this setup..This made a Huge improvement in accuracy and it made this rifle reach out to some further targets..I found that this rifle will shoot well with most pellets but I picked up some cheap ones at walmart just for fun and found ...

The Gamo Nitro 17 air rifle is excellent value for the money, even at Canadian prices. A good solid, powerful rifle with excellent balance and a real nice trigger.

Even though it could have had a better scope, I still got a great deal for the money. I'm happy with my rifle.

this rifle is my favorite rifle so far, it is easy to cock, light, and is very well balanced. I've put about 5,000 shots through it already and is working like the first day i bought it. The value for the money is unbelievable and the quality is excellent. Even though the scope mounts that it came with are fine i do recommend that you get a one piece scope mount for greater accuracy. Can kill anything from a rabbit to a small fox. ( if you hit it in the head). the best pellets are JSB Exacts and ...

I would just like to say that for $170 that i spent on this gun it is excellent. At that value no other gun can get even close for what this does. When I looked for an Air rifle i had my mind set on buying one that had 1,000 fps. I bought this which had 850 with lead and i was a little uneasy about it. When i got home and shot it i was extremely happy and i think that with 850 fps it has a lower recoil than a 1000 fps or the ones i have shot. It is extremely accurate and i love shooting it and s ...

I bought this gun about a month ago now and it has already taken some nice squirrels. When i first got it the scope was mounted and I expected that it would need some fine tuning so i placed a dirty bird target out 25 yards and it just suprised me i took one shot and i hit the bullseye. So i took about 7 more shots and i couldn't see where i was hitting so i was a little mad but when i walked up to my target i seen that every pellet went through the same hole no more than 2mm apart at the furthe ...

The Gamo Nitro 17 is fun to shoot, takes out a large rabbit at 45 feet. (Gamo Magnum or Master Point pellets the best.) It is frustrating trying to get a good shot if you're just a weekend arm chair shooter. I am shaky at shooting but at 45 feet I can hit the round bottom of a 12 ounce pop can. Getting accuracy with your air rifle is most of the fun. Like golfing, getting that perfect shot is important and frustrating sometimes.

    I don't have a very steady hand so I need to use a bi-pod or ...
